Thank you Mr crispin! That really is a hard post to resist,, However, I believe that we are still in the apathy stages in this country: albeit verging on outright denial.

I am pretty sure that reasonable men with reasonable intelligence will halt the infringement of our rights before there are none.
But that has been the belief of many countries and cultures throughout history that surrendered their liberty for their safety.

While I prefer to remain cautiously optimistic, I will also remain pragmatic and watchful. For my family,, and for you.

Call me a utopian or naive but I just don't worry daily or hourly about being shot by some random stranger or thrown in a detention camp by the government or some shadowy organization. If you took the time ta actually read the whole thread before starting to spout off you would have read that I am a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. That gives me two dogs in this so called "fight". Can you just answer the question at hand or are your blinders on?

1. I wasn't responding to the entire thread, I was responding to your SINGLE FIRST post.
2. Damn, if you are a U.S. citizen why fly the maple leaf? Ashamed? Coward? If you have moved to Canada for work, thank What's his name. If you moved there for political reasons, just denounce your citizenship.
3. I responded to your first post as I did because I don't need to read others' approvals, criticisms, or points of view before I decide what I think about your post.
4. The fact that you have gotten on Dano's good side is enough to make me wonder if you aren't as Anti American as he is, so I definitely don't give a rat's backside about your opinion as you evidently want to be a horse's backside.

I don't understand why anyone would not fight someone that wants to change the basic laws that this country was founded on. Not only should we protect the Bill of Rights for ourselves but for our kids and grand kids. I know for a fact that our founding fathers not only set up the 2nd amendment for us to protect our families from governments that try to take any of our rights from us. I carry 90% of the places I go. If my country wants to outlaw this it will be unconstitutional and should not be followed. As for the ATF coming into my home or on my property in the interest of public safety. My property is private and the government has no business there.

I personally think they will regulate the ammo more than anything. They are already buying it up by the truck loads. If they can keep this out of our hands then we will be out of luck either way.

In the end I think most people believe that there is just never a need to get personal when discussing an issue. It has absolutely nothing to do with affirming or refuting any issue and is generally just a way to attempt to change or end one. It would be nice if everyone would just stick with the issues. Especially given the fact that no one even knows the names of people posting never mind anything about them.

I have no axe to grind with you. You are on the list of people I consider to be good men. You know this. Dano is a combat veteran from another nation. I believe his discussion on these forums is part of his healing processes. When push comes to shove I would stand behind both of you. It is my desire for the two of you to find peace with each other. Several of my recent posts have stated so. If you change the color of the lens you look through then Dano becomes somebody you would champion behind. Can you change the lens?

Shucks, that the nicest way I've been criticized since yesterday --- just before I was invited by a mark's employer to have a sit down meeting with he, his employee (the mark --- a city marshall) and his friend (sheriff in a large southern city I used to live in) so we could discuss how he was not going to comply with a court order that I am about to have enforced.

I don't understand how you see my post about Dano's poking the hornets' nest or about how if Backbacon is happy living in Canada then I'm happy for him is any sort of insult.
