Had My Best Day Ever When I Very First Started Detecting in 2014

I came out swinging. Literally on one of my first times detecting I found 2 silver rings, a silver Puma charm, and a 14K Ring with a 1KT white sapphire in it.

Been striving to have a "Best day ever" since then. Have had three 2 ring days since then.

SIgh...

Found a junker ring today.

That first good day was like a "loss leader" and it sucked you in! But it's still a great hobby and the anticipation is a good part of it.

Best to enjoy the hunt for what it is, some days are better than others. I usually focus on monthly or year long goals so that it "evens out" over the long run. That way I don't feel disappointed or feel like I HAVE to find something that day.
