Congrats on your great finds!

We just took a cruise in October and our last stop was Nassau. We visited Atlantis (aquarium) and it was probably the highlight of the whole place - but then we didn't go MDing on the beach at COCO Kay either ;D

Great job !!

You must have been smiling the entire trip!

Talk about souvenirs! I love those rings. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I was there at coco cay last year, and was cursing myself for not bringing my detector. Now I know when I go back this year that the detector is the priority item.

Great job!

Awesome, I showed your post to my wife and she told me that I find only rabbish all the time :). I was on Canary islands this year but basaltic sand killed my ace 250 there. Unbelieveable finds!!! WTG

Very nice. You are lucky. Which cruise line did you use? I took my surfmaster on a Disney cruise in 2001 and used it for about an hour at Castaway Cay before they threw me out. Apparently I was the first (and only) person to try to detect there. The island manager, and Disney, said that it's not allowed and never will be allowed. I didn't find anything, except 58 cents US and 10 cents Bahamas. Not even junk. It was unbelievably clean. They did tell me that the island manager has an underwater detector that he uses to find "reported" missing jewelry so they don't have to claim it on their insurance. Their biggest fear was that I'd find some jewelry that their insurance had paid for and they'd have to reimburse the insurance company. It was weird and frustrating. I was told later that I created more traffic on their radios and back to Disney in Orlando than they have ever heard before. That's why I got an hour in, it took them that long to figure out what I was doing and if it was allowed. I complained to Disney about it, but never heard a thing from them. They did try to tell me that it was illegal to detect in the Bahamas, but I didn't buy it.
