Got A Rock you Want Identified? Post it here! gimme a good picture or 3 or 4!

Does this look like it could be jade i found it while i was in the woods and i thought it would be a neat rock to break open and see the inside and it ended up being completely green inside and its transparent when i hold a light behins it and it was extremely hard to break apart i actually couldnt do it myself i had help loll also i tried the scratchTest and its not able to be scratched.. please let me know what u think :)

What did you test the hardness with? Are the pics taken of the dry specimen?
If a knife doesn't scratch it - consider having a gemologist or a local lapidary club check it out in person.

In this rock the pink color part of the rock is strong but that black color part is very weak . Can take it & crush it to sand with hand itself , why is that ? What is it ?!

The black is Biotite. If you looked up the make up of granitic gneiss you know it's made of three main minerals: Quartz, K feldspar and mica/biotite.
Mica is quite soft, actually a knife will scratch it.

so it is granite gneiss bro ?

What do you think, based on my previous description and the previous IDs?
I'm not just here to ID, if I can I'll try to teach you something to!

Found in Tuolumne county California.. What the heck? ( I think I posted in the wrong spot earlier...so trying again)IMG_20170927_131553.jpgIMG_20170927_131600.jpgIMG_20170927_131607.jpg

Hi... Found this in a river, scratches glass, no streak, no scratch from quartz. Its taken a lot of beating. I know it looks synthetic, but def is not glass.
