It is amazing that Todd's crew continue to stick with him.

By the looks of the sneak-peek into the season it seems they might be bailing on him

Well remember, all this is for show. People stick around because they are PAID. I read that the cast of Storage Wars got $30,000 per episode each. So they all have a good reason to stick around even if they get no gold.

The one thing I just don't get, and it became clear after that special episode that recapped all the prior seasons, is Todd's sick obsession with Parker. Even if it's for the camera, it's damn creepy.

Todd's crew bails out....Parker fires up 2nd operation(unsure if it's in this episode or a future one)....Would be funny if Todd's crew goes to work for Parker.

Come on, you know this is the same formula they use EVERY S I N G L E year. They start out with crew problems, crew wanting to abandon their jobs, equipment failures and they can't find gold. Then they'll all sing cumbayaa and the gold starts to trickle in and then more and then more until the next big fight and breakdown which will SURELY END THEIR SEASON. ***yawn****

Think thats correct. I don't think the show is GOOD, but its the only one about mining right now so I try to ignore the BS and watch the giant equipment run and the pretty, pretty gold.

Todd is still with us, now, with two mines. I doubt he will find all the gold that he wants this season. Good hunting and good luck.

i think tony is going to make a mistake.

Instead of moving the complete new dredge he should just strip the equipment from the dredge #2 and leave the pontoon.
it would take less time to truck the upper equipment and build a new pontoon barge.
A couple welders with heavy wire feed rigs should be able to weld up a new pontoon for less then it will cost to float the old pontoon up a river and rebuild it.

He also needs to foam fill dredge #1 and save a lot of problems.

When i was in the Minesweep navy during Operation End Sweep there was the LST-1166/MSS2 USS WASHTENAW COUNTY that was turned into a mine sweep by filling it with foam to make it unsinkable.

I was pissed off after coming home and to watch GR. Did not know that the DVR recorded two shows last night. Went to the Gold Rush folder and clicked on the the show at the top of the folder. When I saw that the show was a recap of last year I about tossed the remote at the 60 inch 4K TV. I went to bed pissed off yet again at the damn producers. Then today I open the folder and saw five recordings of GR when last week there were only three. Well I got to watch episode four in the folder that I missed last night.

Tony is an A$$hole. What a jerk to his kids and everyone else. If I were those kids I would dry dock that dredge and give Tony the finger. Same old crap from Toad and like all shows same old script from year to year. The script writer needs to be fired and come up with an entire new angle for the show.
