This will take some research to accomplish such a feat.

Let's see if we can get some more parties in NJ and than arrange a simple meeting
where it would be centrally located for all those who want to discuss the possiibilities

By "Not the usual methods" means by avoiding going out and swinging the loop over common areas such as beachs heavily and recently being used, and parks that had amusement rides on it recently...these are zones that are usually heavily combed over
already.

Cool- Let's figure where we can find a place and time to sit down ,have a cup of coffee and see if we can mabey figure out some kind of gameplan without getting wrapped up in analysis paralysis.

New Jersey was a heavily traveled and fought upon area during the Revolutionary War.

There are numerous documented encampments and a few battlesites throughout the state. Parks for the most part are hands off however perhaps surrounding woods and fields may be O.K.. Signs along roads describe certain events that happened at these locations. No better way than using this as an example-X marks the spot.

There may be worthwhile opportunities investigating some of these possibilities.

Does anyone know of a "hands off" policy regarding these kind of road sign areas in what seems like in the middle of no where ?

ok...here are some of my "unusual" MD habits...

As a rule I DO NOT beach hunt..and very seldem hunt public parks....

I DO hunt homesteads, places where activity happened years ago, ghost towns (yes there are many ghost towns in NJ), hisotrically significant areas. I live just outside of Philly, and I am willing to travel up to anhour in any direction. My most succesful hunts have been in Mercer County, Hunterdon COunty, and Burlington COunty.
