on e bay the wonderful 15 counter thingy fetched a whopping 48 bucks !! for charity - bet the pigg nuts could beat that mark.

just be sure they don't go the guy who bought the 15 counter thingy -- because if those things cross breed its all over.

I spent a lot of time looking for these damn things online (like a lot of other people did too). Someone made these, someone sold these, someone bought these and someone lost these...how is it possible we can't find 'em anywhere. Very, very frustrating!!!

the common theme is soccer * ---asian games --world cup and so on are all soccer matches --
its a bucky ball type design knock off of the classic rubic cube game -(like a rubic cube but much harder since theres more faces to deal with) --the nuts allowed for themes and differant faces * similar to the way colors are used on a rubic cube --- you by twisting and turning and sliding line up the correct faces about till it matches up properly -- it has the same face on both sides of the nut to make it eazy to put together at the factory (no wrong side that way) and the nuts slide about in a slotted framework (bucky ball design) it was a very short lived item -- not very popular due to its very hard to solve nature -- and like rubic cubes they most likely got busted by frustrated folks who couldn't solve em.

I gave pictures of the objects to my wife to show to her Korean boss. I only told my wife that I would like her Boss's opinion of what they could be. And gave her no clues of what has been postulated thus far.

Her boss told her to tell me that they are the pieces to a game she and her daughter used to play in Korea similar to our jacks, and also said she remembers seeing some with the same sports theme on a set that a boy in Korea had.

I know this is only hearsay and not incontrovertible proof but does however lend some credence to the theory.
