Don't worry, you didn't aggravate me, I probably just wasn't clear enough on my post. I like your definition though. ;D

Did you ever work this one out?

Haven't figured that one out yet.

Well, no sale, no offers, and no information from anyone on Ebay. I guess I will just keep them and concider this a modern day mystery....forbidden archeology. As of yet, I am the only one who owns or has seen this sort of thing. So unless a good offer comes up, I will just keep them. It still just amazes me that something this new is unidentifiable, and rare. I want to thank everyone who has helped and done so much research on trying to find the true identification of these. The work you have done is unbelievable. Thank you all!

The main purpose for putting them on Ebay was hopefully someone would recognize, I even had in the auction if anyone knew what thy were to let me know, then and we could finally solve this. As far as the $1000 dollars went, it was a make an offer auction also. No offers made though. It didn't bother me in the least not to get any offers, but I wish someone could have recognized them for all of us. As far as value goes......one man's junk is another man's treasure, and this one's mine. ;D However, I will concider any offers ;D ;D ;D ;D

Been guessed already..........NGE

it's funny under the original photo it mentions lug nut caps or covers. probably made in foundry class by students of the high school in the year of the Olympics. doubt they were commercially made. people on ebay are scared of an item with no id. if you knew what they were .....

They are not lug nut covers. That has been discussed numerous times over the past. By the way, HELLO ALL, I'm still alive and kickin. Just been out of circulation for awhile. Been starting a new life with a new lady........but I'm still here.

This is a no brainer. They are unofficial "exchange tokens" from the 2002 Asian Games held in South Korea. Sorry I didnt see this on day one, but you would have missed a lot of fun if I did.

Mickk, if these piggnuts are what you say they are, attach a picture of them, and a company that manufactured them. Then the mystery would be solved and you would be a HERO to all T-Netters who have lost their minds trying to figure them out........NGE

Like I said, they are unofficial, hence the crude nuts used in design. They would however, have fitted snugly together in a nice box. Its SK free market running on high. You see the same things in other places in the 2nd world when such events are held.

I dont have any pics. All I can tell you is that I saw these in junk shops in SK a few years ago. Also if you look at the design on the back in one of the pics, you will see those circles/rings/loops are very SK in design. Thats a dead give away, so different from japan, china etc.

The IOF would never allow such rubbish to bear the olympic rings. The use of the rings is heavily policed and only asian countries knock it off. The range of sports and designs is just a give away. Anything popular is the same thing, its all sports, its all what people want. They are produced for the mass trinket market, not the collector, for local consumption.

I wouldnt tease you. Trust me on this one, someone will hunt down a pic.

Not doubting ya Mickk, it's just to prove something in here, they need pics and proof of a manufacturer. Maybe even some advertizing.......NGE

Not to insult or argue with you, but all of that has been gone over, and over in VERY much depth and research, and in 3 years there has not been a picture surface. You should read the thread from the beginning and you would see. It is nice to have new input on the subject from new people, because I really do believe that some day the answer will be found....whatever it is. But in order to research these, you must start by reading the whole thread to know what research has already been done, and to what extent. I agree that if they were mass produced, even for the black market, there would be a picture, package, or some sort of other advertisement showing their picture. But as of yet, no such thing has surfaced. In fact, you are the first person to have claimed to have seen these exact ones, and that is a good thing. The only part you have wrong is they are not "crudely" made. In fact it is just the opposite. The only reason they look the way they do is because they have been in the ground for so many years, and corrosion has taken it's toll. Hopefully, if you have seen these exact ones, you can come up with a picture to end this madness ;D.

Mickk, if you can solve this one, there is another here that was found in Alaska. I think it has almost as many posts as this one..........NGE
