Today, I went by where I found them and I am locked out. Since school started it is no longer open to the public. I guess it will be another year before any surface................unless someone finds out what these things are. :D
I don't think finding more will help us out anyway....

I agree, we are beyond help. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Have to remember that they are closed on both ends. No opening (except for the broken one) to attach to anything.

Looks like it. I'm waiting on a response from Mark Parker to see what he has to say. I've still been looking at different places, but no results. All the inquiries I have sent out have come back negative.

Good Evening Piggman1 ;D

It's 11:25 pm........just popped into your Nutz thread to see if any action.

I see things are about status quo. I haven't checked the other MD websites, but are you running this thread on any others ? If not, I applaud you for loyalty to T'Net, but it would broaden exposure and at this stage of the game, and no one here would blame you.

Yea, it's on other sites as well, and it has also been on Craigs list and a few other places. That reminds me, I've got to check the other places. I haven't in awhile.

Dave......Thanks for the two E-mails....looks like you've got the bases covered ! Good work ! ;)

OK folks, I just received word back from Mark Parker Of Western & Eastern Treasures and this is what he said:
"The short, honest answer to your question is......I don't know!
As a matter of fact, I recently read your thread on Treasure Net and since that time have been trying to identify these items - so far without success. If further checking turns up any information of interest, I'll write you again with the results.
Although in my opinion their appearance strongly suggest that these are indeed gong-gi "stones" (AKA: Korean jack's), I'll admit that absolute confirmation - i.e. an exact photographic match - is lacking. What I can say with certainty is that both in my own research and in the many post made about them, nothing else even comes close.
I'm sorry that I couldn't be of any help in solving this ongoing mystery, but thanks for keeping me humble! Untill next time, as always, and all the best...
Sincerely, Mark Parker"

I personally have run out of leads, books, or any other places to look or write.
From the lack of post in recent weeks seems to show that so has everyone else. This may be one of those things that some of us will believe they are what we think they are, and leave it at that. And ther will be other of us that it will still remain a mystery, and leave it at that, too. Either way, we gave it one hell of a shot, and my thanks go out to all of you who have endured through this quest. Thank you all!

I think I have figured out what they go to.

Now all you have to do is find the other nine for the rest of the slots. :D

On a more serious note, has anyone tried looking into patent records from 2002 or so?

Happy hunting,

They probably looked real nice when they were new, being copper plated. I like the commemorative theory.

I kind of like that idea myself.

The Professor was trying to connect those two also. Haven't heard from him yet.
