Now thats an idea send em to some treasure hunting mags, for there Q&A section, and ask, If you dont get a answer you will for sure drive em nuts.

If these dime-sized octagonal pieces are not Gonggi stones, then they may have been designed from them. I dont see how they could be anything else but game pieces or commemorative pieces of such. Maybe I should not have stated it was fact, but it looked close enough for me. Just my opinion.
Some thoughts: I realize yours are dated but Gonggi is a very old game. I wonder how long they have been making these out of plastic? They used very little plastic back in the day. Before plastic became popular, pot metal or brass was most likely used. And before that pebbles and bone. Any old Gonggi pics? Library? I would like to see a pic of old Gonggi stones.
