I agree that Jack Stones have had different shapes and made of different stuff. Just by saying these are Jack Stones doesn't solve the mystery. It just is like saying they are balls. Just a label.

Now it gets weird. Piggman1 says Helzberg Diamonds is in different languages for different countries. This is the Helzberg corporate logo. Exactly the same for all stores.

But the little red button IS A HELZBERG DIAMOND promotional pin that was picked up as a neat item and reproduced all over the world in many languages (from Helzberg history website). For Pigmann1 to use Helzberg as an example and the pin to be from there is just too much.

Agreed.

Too close to call?

You got that right! :D :D

If the shooter on the reverse is a girl, it's netball. Can you tell if the person has a skirt on or shorts?

Pigman, do you have any way to get a really clear close up of the 2002 nut? It looks like 5 dots in the right zero but the left zero looks like it might only be half of the symbol on the korean flag. May not mean anything tho, just curious

Charlie

Netball makes as much sense as the race car.

Daryl

But if the shooters on the reverse are girls?

If they aren't, why basketball on all of them?

Daryl

Has anyone noticed that with the shooter sides up, they match up with the flat sides, but with the sports up, they don't. they match corner to corner.

Up close on the 2002

for me ... even if they are "jack stones" I want to know what the symbols all tied together mean....

what is reason they used them?

Not to make this even more confusing but I found out this game originated in Europe and it was called knuckle-bones. Around 330 bc the celtics started it with sheep knuckles and played it the same way the Asians do. See if anyone can find more on this.

Now y'all have done it. I'm going in about 45 min to go and try and find more. I hope I find the fly fisher. That'll do it!

The right hand zero looks a lot like this game piece from trivial persuit

piggman1,
Have you ever shown these to any of the kids playing in that area and asked them if they knew what they were? As a mom of boy's, these are something that a kid 12 and under would carry in their pocket. (trust me I know, you would be surprised at some of the things I have found doing laundry!)

OK guy's and gal's, I'm back from my hunt for another pignutz. It wasn't easy, I had to hunt in the middle of a frisbee golf game. Disc's flying everywhere. At first they were kind of upset because I was in the middle of their game, but I let them know real quick that searching for pignutz was top priority, and was of great importance to national security. After that they kind of stayed away from me. A highway patrol pulled someone over on the side of the road not 30 feet from me. After giving the driver a ticket, he ask what I was hunting for, and if I was having any luck. To which I replied, I was looking for pignutz, and hadn't found any yet. He just shook his head, got back in his car and drove off. Well, I was just about to call it quits when I found another one. Here it is before it goes in the cleaner. Oh, and by the way, it has a guy with a metal detector on it. I didn't find the fly fisherman.

I don't believe you went out there and "just found another one"!! This is insane. Where is my bottle and a glass of ice??
