Fishing for Silver- Fish On!s CRH Log

Busy day today. I only managed to pick up four of the six half boxes I had coming in today. The silver certainly wasn't spread out today, but I'm not complaining:

Box 1: skunk
Box 2: skunk
Box 3: 2x90%(64's) 5x40% There was one ender ('64) and that roll had a 40% in it too.
Box 4: skunk

I also found an '87 clad proof in decent shape. Not sure if they were low mintage or not.

I managed to reach both of my year goals today and I haven't been hunting for a full six months yet. (over 50 ounces of silver and over $1,000 dollars in silver)

Nice job...your boxes keep on producing. Congrats on passing 50ozt. My goal s to be at 50ozt by the end of the year. With your volume you will probably exceed a 100ozt easily by the end of the year.

Thanks. I hope you're right. I would love to get 100 oz.

Picked up the two boxes I didn't have time for yesterday. My other pickup didn't order because they didn't have to order any change this week (note to self: grab a few boxes of dimes and quarters each week I am there from now on heehee)

Box 1: 2x40%
Box 2: 2x40%

Good day. I'm actually averaging close to two silvers per box this week. I'll take that.

Nice finds fish on! I'll take two SPB (silver per box) as well :)

Picked up my last two boxes of the week. I had a good week. It's a shame I didn't do super volume this week:

Box 1: 1x90% (walker) 4x40%
Box 2: 1x90% (Kennedy) 4x40%

That is a solid week, way to go fish on!, I hope your luck continues through next week, I love those walkers they are so hard to come by too!

Thanks. I've found four walkers now. I love seeing those things. I hope you get a couple next week.

Decent day today. I woke up early and decided to hit a new area that's a bit of a drive from my house. As I was sitting in my chair drinking my coffee and watching the news I found out that the main highway that leads to that area was completely shut down today because of an accident. On to plan B. I had about $3k in halves left to dump so I drove towards one of the further branches of my dump bank. I stopped at about 7 other banks throughout the morning and asked for halves and bought boxes of dimes and quarters. I only managed one box of quarters and two of dimes, the other branches managed an additional $300 in MWR dimes and $200 MWR quarters altogether since they couldn't spare the boxes.
In total, I also ended up with a total of ~$65 in loose halves from teller trays (about 4 of the banks had halves).
The halves produced one dirty rimmed silver which I only caught on the sound check, but it was a '64 so I was very happy with it. I bet that bank had sniping tellers that missed that one.

Here are the box/MWR results:

$300 MWR Dimes: 1 silver (a merc)
$200 MWR Quarters: skunk
Dime box 1: 2 Roosies
Dime box 2: 2 Roosies
Quarter Box: Skunk

I was happy with today's results. I had no confidence in the quarters. I usually try to search at least 3 boxes of quarters at a time in hopes that I get a silver.

I forgot to mention: One of the dump banks gave me an extra $10 today. I gave it back, but I probably should have kept it since their counter shorted me $10 on dimes last weekend.

I went to one of my dump banks and the trekkers saw me walking in so they wheeled the cart over for the full coin bags. She pulls out the machine and cons fall out of the hopper (that aren't mine) and she decided to keep the coins, $1.25 total. I was also shorted $6.70 today ugh... oh well got to move on lol
I probably poured the dimes in too fast and they counted as pennies.

A few months back I had a teller mistakenly hand me an extra $50. I gave it back of course-- it's the right thing to do and I figured it would help earn some good will :)

Yeah, I always give it back too. It's the right thing to do, but I'm still peeved that TD shorted me in the counter by $10.

More good boxes. I picked up two half boxes today. I think I may have also gotten my first buffender, but I'll need confirmation.

Box 1: 6x40%
Box 2: 2x40%

That is one of my enders but that was likely done over a year ago, I don't use a marker that thick anymore, congrats on the silver!!! :D

Well, I've been patiently waiting for my amazing score and today it finally came. I made my standard pickup of 2 boxes of halves like I do every thursday. Box 1 was way better than box 2, but EITHER ONE would have been my best box ever. Here are the results, I'll get pics up tonight:

Box 1: 27x90% (2 franklins, the rest '64's) 22x40% 1xclad proof commemorative from '89
Box 2: 4x90% (all kens) 10x40%

I'm absolutely blown away by today's hunt. I didn't take a ton of pics while hunting because I just wanted to keep opening the rolls. Here are a few highlights of box 1: the commemorative and three 64's were enders. Two rolls had 5 silvers in each, one roll had four silvers and many had two or three a piece. In total, I found 63 pieces of silver today. I honestly never thought I would have a day like this, but I finally did.
