Well, I finally found a clovis! The material is red jasper, but there is a small nick near the point.

Thanks Chris for your support and encouragement! :notworthy: As we talked you mentioned that it had some minute characteristics to a Folsom? Could there be a possibility that this point has transitive characteristics from Clovis to Folsom. Please, anyone else have any input on this hypothesis?

"Correction made" (Clovis to Folsom)

That is for sure a beautiful point! Congratz for sure!

Thank You all for the "Likes"

That is unbelievable. Probably one of the coolest things i've seen on TN.

Can you imagine the person that made that; i can picture an old indian carrying it around.

Dude probably got all the chicks!

unclemac thank you for that article, I wish I could figure out how to upload those and post them.

the crystal one is nice but yours is better worked.

Great find! When I was a kid, I was quail hunting with my dad in a field in Kansas. We were walking in a freshly plowed field and I looked down and saw the bright pink arrowhead/spear point laying on top of the ground. I showed it to my dad and he said, "Holy cow son"! "I've been looking for these my entire life and you just found one". He was amazed and I was just glad to be hunting with him. Your post reminded me of a great memory so I had to share too. The color has faded over the years it used to be bright pink. I'm 51 years old now and I guess I was about 14 when I found it. Thanks for the brain restart. Hope you find more.IMG_1098[1].JPG

:icon_thumright: Awesome Find! That sure is some pretty material, I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the base appears to be broken?

Difficult to tell. I was told that war points were made different than bird points. A war point was made to slip out of the arrow shaft. thus, no notches on the side. A bird point or game point was retrievable and had the notches. Could also be a broken spear point. I noticed that the clovis you posted is a fantastic color. Do you know the material?

Thanks, yes it appears that way. Great to find this place and meet you! I think my point is chert but I'm not sure. The red jasper is beautiful.
Take care!
