I am a gardener. One day, I was pulling weeds in a rock bed. As I am slightly trading the rocks in my left hand to my right hand, all the while ciphering out the weeds, I noticed The Rock that has now moved through both hands was heavy and different than the rest. The minute I looked at my hand, I knew I had found an Indian artifact of some sort,…or something. I’ve done a little bit of research, but I would love to hear what your thoughts are!! Thank you in advance!!👩🏼‍🌾

That’s called a biface. It’s the result of the first stage of manufacturing a flint tool. The next step might be heat treating to make it easier to flake. Or it could be reduced thinner and made into a knife or projectile point. It can also be used for various things at any step along the way. Many times these are discarded because they have flaws. I don’t see any on your piece. Nice find!
