Re-treat, polish, and it's like nothin' had ever happened. You see,

An interesting Interview/Documentary, life history/story, especially,
if you've never seen it ever before. Inspiring and maybe enlightening...
:coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2:
Country/Country-Rock/His Brand of Hillbilly/Rock,
crossover, or whatever, writer/recording artist/producer/performer,
innovative, extremely talented star. A 2nd Generation, Living Legend,
plays music with his boots on, pants legs tucked in, Hillbilly Style?...:laughing7::laughing9::laughing7: :dontknow:... :sunny: :fish:

Well, :coffee2::coffee2::coffee2:Hmmn...

No one talkin', or commentin'. Should I
take it as a sign, y'all don't really like 'ol
Hank?... :coffee: :icon_scratch: :angry4: :angry9::smileinbox: :angel12: :laughing7::laughing9::laughing7:

I had ta' kinda' grow to like him, but once
I saw him live the one time, I laughed so
hard. He had fancy boots on, pants tucked
in, and they were white with various colors
stitching pattern, and he was givin' it all he
had. Warmed up for Skynyrd, and was a blast...

Yep, he lives up to his rowdy reputation, and is
beyond humorous, to this Indian hillbilly anyway,
and I don't always laugh. I guess it's a wavelength,
sorta', in some way. But I usually take no comments,
as dislikes, that's cool... I don't go for some of his ol'
shenanigans either, and don't really think he wants ta' be
hellbound, but that does perhaps acknowledge, that he may
think about it someway... I think he would make a good president,
because he wouldn't take no :censored:, and has more family values, other
than the wildman Southern entertainer part, that's what folks really know about...

Maybe it's kind of a hillbilly rebel country music state of mind thing... :toothy4:
So that calls for maybe that one more song of his directly...

Just a couple of mine thoughts. Here's to Ya' Hank, they don't serve any whiskey
here, but have an ice cold Texas Lonestar brew... :occasion14:  :sunny: :fish:

Love him! He is a piece of work, and marches to his own drum (or strums to his own guitar). Good stuff!

Well he was born into it, but is definitely a character
and quite a talented artist, that made his own mark.

I heard Merle Haggard may have helped him around Nashville,
putting in a good word or whatever, tryin' ta' help promote him... :sunny: :fish:

He has led quite a life! Thanks for the great contribution(s). Most interesting thing I'd heard all night, for sure.

I saw Zac Brown in the audience on your first video. He's just about my all time fav. I'm surprised he is lacking in the video dept.

Yeah, I like some of Zac's songs too,
and he can play a guitar. Put on quite
an impressive performance, at an awards
show, a couple or so years ago. A very good,
talented, singer/songwriter/musician/performer... :sunny: :fish:
:cross:

Mellow voice too...

Who is your #1 favorite musician?

Never thought about it that way, really.

...And I'll have to think about it some...

Musician and singer, I think you mean?... :sunny: :fish:
:cross:
I have different favorites, for different reasons.
Like favorite vocalists that just plays only rhythm,
and ones that sing as well, and plays leads, rates
higher, for singin', and playin the leads, for example...

Then some great singers don't play that well, and may
not write much, or didn't write their best selling hits...
I wont mention any names, of a couple of well, now
'ol legendary country artists, other than Glen Campbell.
He didn't write. But look at how he could play the leads,
while singing. That's what I mean, by different categories...

Alyson Krauss touches me to my soul, as much as anyone...

I have played several different styles of music videos,
but my own work, comes out mostly mellow, kinda folksy
to mild country, country/rock, to soft rock, and I can sing
much like most of my favorites, when I'm well practiced,
and polished up...

That's why I'll be sad, when I pitch a song, and someone
likes it, and records it. Because I'd like to record the best
ones, which I know I still could. I have a few I need to get
someone to record, cause their not doin' me, or anyone
else any good, just sittin' in my satchel, and in my head...

My vocals are plenty good and rich, but time is a factor.
So that's the way I'd like to get my foot in the door,
like so many have had to, sell a good song or two,
then do their own project...

Did you catch in one documentary, that Hank Jr.,
was collecting almost $500,000,000 yes, almost
half a million a year, off of his Daddy, Hank Sr.'s
royalties, and I think that interview, was in 1987...

I think I played a Shelley Colvin song here sometime back. She's great. Well, time to hit the hay! [emoji99]

Good Night!...

Ya' got me thinkin' now, but I'll lay down directly.
I worked out pretty hard today, so I'll snooze... :sunny: :fish:
:cross:
I'll be thinkin' about that question, in my sleep... 8-)

Yeah, she sounded real good, and played pretty well... :)

I know some of the classics that I have learned, more
recently, are pretty old, but somewhat timeless though... :sunny: :fish:
:cross:

For example...

The 'Most played song of the last millenium'...
Outsold the Beatles in the year of 1969...???

He admits he's just getting back into playing,
after spending a lot of time on the golf course...

And, the following year, was polished up pretty
good, sounded and picked good, especially for
his age... I will make one more post, to illustrate... :sunny: :fish:

The guy nails it, and has a certain spirited level,
of treasured class. He played on around 350 'albums',
in one single year. Everyone in L.A., wanted his licks
on their releases... Did the Beach Boys' guitar work, on
their release, and then goes out and tours with them,
playing Bass, and singing harmony vocals with them.

EDIT: That had to have been a real blast...

He smoked for many years, and I know from experience,
that vocals are Much better, Not smoking, no comparison...

He still got all of them awards and all, so multi talented...
This version, he may not have been smoking. I heard him
say in '92, that he had finally quit, so could be in this one... :sunny: :fish:

DO TREASURES HAVE REAL SPIRITS?

Applause!!! You know, his life is a story to be told. And, he is a perfect reminder of why I think it is important that you/everyone continues to tell their stories. Before you know it, we may not remember them. I do hope he remembers how much joy he has given to others, of his immense talent, and that he outsold the Beatles in 1969! lol.

The visual isn't that great, but the audio,
is pretty clear, with his younger voice...
Singing the Jimmy Webb song, the
way he originally recorded it...

His vocals in his mid 20's, and probly one of,
or the first time, that he sang it live for T.V.

Probly smoked, but could hold the notes,
with good tremolo.... :sunny: :fish:
:cross:

I like so many artists, it's hard to pick just one,
I'd rather talk of each one's talents in the various
areas, like I have mentioned, somewhat briefly...
