Yeah float is good but I had to be a miracle worker to get it out as someone had staked the float pin to the carb body! And they also had stripped several screw heads and assembled it incorrectly!
I've only laid about 10 square feet of vct in my life but have done lots of stone and porcelain tile. I wish you had been here when I roughed in my drains and vents! I hated every minute of that!

I once was doing a full basement finish with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a living area.
For the bathroom, I had to install a "lift system."
That means cutting through the cement foundation floor and dig to install the traps.
After about 10 minutes with the cement saw, I set off the smoke detectors!
Within 3 minutes, 2 fire trucks and a cop was on scene....Sheesh.
I got a coupla photos of that job around here somewhere....
Tip! Always keep your dust down by keeping it wet!
