One is a black king snake, and the other is a black racer. Not venomous. A bit frisky though. We also have the rat snakes around here. They are good to have on your property. No rats! I have a couple pics of corals. One is in pieces, though. :0 We actually have more corals around here than the average bear. Pretty, for sure. Shy, too. But, if one gets bit, it would not be good. Florida is running dangerously low on antivenin. Some folks are starting to sell them, live, for up to $1500 for their venom. But, fewer companies are even (apparently) interested in even producing it anymore.

How cool is that!

College student gotta make a buck somehow....

I've actually studied Herpetology and have found that most folks can't tell a dangerous coral snake from a harmless milk snake....

Starts with black - bad for Jack. Learned in Boy Scouts. Well friends I'm in a little pain here. Typing from the hospital. I fell and snapped my tib and fib....same leg.I think they are prepping me for surgery tomorrow cause I see the anesthesiologist in the am. I mangled it pretty bad. So I probably won't be around for awhile, take care of each other......2GF OUT

View attachment 1061936 True. Here is a coral that was in my front yard. Met the mower. We've had several. We have them in Mexico, too. The guys at the feed store didn't believe we had corals around here, so I put the (pieces) of this one into a jar and showed them. GF, I am worried. Keep up posted! Good luck. Fingers crossed.

Thanks everybody something about a rule/law that says you shouldn't be on the roof raking pine needles at night.....especially barefooted. I know it was stupid. I tried to do a PLF parachute landing fall, but turned into a PFL poor freaking landing hahaha. Momma is home safe, at least I waited until she got home. I guess flying really was meant for the birds. I didnt get that memo. Thanks again everyone I'll be fine. Thank you

TGF, what the heck ya doin thar, buddy? Since I read of this, I is been sending you good healing purrs. Man, what a bummer, it don't even make for enjoying the meds.

I am a professional sweep them pine needles from the rooftop kinda cat, no really. I always have to sweep them off the roof at the GA house. I'm little and light, so it's better than the Mr (250lbs) up there, clomp clomp clomping around. Get them boys growed up to do them things for ya, or if you need, I can drive up and do it. Let me know ( I hope it don't hafta be done but like twice a yr or so).
OH, and you better keep a cat close! Ya musta missed my article, lol.
