CRISPINS CRITTERS

good. you really worked on bill elliot's house?

Yep.

About 2-3 years ago. Exterior remodelling including soffitt, fascia, cement work and work on the little "guest house" to the left of the main house.

He's a pretty nice guy. Seems unassuming, real and down to earth.

I also did some work at his shop, down the road from his house.

Out behind his shop, he has a runway for his jet.

All just a bit north of Dawsonville.

Best,

Scott

Yep.

When all the other guys were on dates or trolling the pubs, I immersed myself in music.

Music has been a good companion.

It's always there, there is always a song that can describe how you feel and music will never argue with you.

I still have a turntable from 20+ years ago that I bought a $300 stylus to be able to play "micro-groove" albums.

Music is a universal language!

Scott

WHAAAAT! Now what is the problem? Seems like a run on punishment!

Scott,

True about the music.....when I was a kid growing up.....I had a crappy transistor radio that I'd turn on at night and pick up cousin Brucie from south of the border and hear all the latest tunes.....

The problem is expressing opinions that go against the views of TNET ownership. As stated in their rules, they have the right to censure anything they do not want and they will not tolerate anybody questioning why things were censured. Not complying with these rules can lead to time out. I don't know how long his time out is, but hopefully it will be brief. Make no mistakes folks...we do not have first amendment rights on TNET, if we say something that goes against ownership views we will be censored. If we question it...we will be banned.

I'm going to miss Stocky and feel that a tune is in order. All is not lost though..... he'll be back here using his Hops and German in no time.

Do the rules list specifically TNet views on topics and what views will not be tolerated?

well i knew picker liked the jousting too much. hope he's back before I need more financial advice

Chris,

This tune should do the trick......nice touch that it's brothers in arms and in honor of Nelson Mandela.....

Just a brief word to state a few facts about Treasurenet policies....
(and personal thoughts....)

First and foremost, Treasurenet is a "Family Oriented" TREASURE website.

The ownership is of a private nature as opposed to a governmental entity.
In other words, someone started, built and wanted to share their love of finding treasure.

As such, the owner(s) have the right to restrict behavior and posts that strays too far off topic of the original intent of the website.

I'd bet that there are thousands of websites that would encourage talk of (and arguements, name calling, etc.) concerning politics, religion, etc.

Trust me. I learned the hard way.
(Jeff the Moderator set me straight. "30 Days in the Cooler!") :notworthy: Now Jeff and I are cool. 8-)

I've got a pretty thick head, but I quickly realized that I didn't want to jeapordize my ability to be a part
of a community that I respect (and many have become personal friends)
just to state my beliefs that weren't exactly treasure-related.

I found it hard to resist the "baiting" of certain members who are no longer here,
but I perservered and everyone else should be able to, also!

Always,

My Best Wishes,

Scott

I feel the song "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash would be fitting for this truly sad occasion. Mister DJ, cue another one up for Stocky please.
