CRISPINS CRITTERS

I saw an interview, long while back, can't remember if it was her, or someone reminiscing about her.
They said she was going to do a show somewhere, when they got there, the director man was telling her, he wanted her to do this, and do that, and do this.......

She stopped him with a whoa whoa whoa and told him, "Why don't you just tell me what you want done,
and I"ll tell you, how I'm going to do it"!
Everyone says, she was something else! And that voice.........

I usually have 2 youtubes up, another forum or 2, some live feed update news stuffs, V

I thought it would be different this time.

I thought things would be better.

I thought everyone here meant more to each other.

I thought.... just thought....

Good morning everyone!

Shall we get really old here? How about around 1927 with Bessie Smith and "Gimme a Pigfoot (joint)"

I've read that Louis Armstrong was the horn on this song - apparently he got his real start with Bessie.

Another nostalgic old favorite - consider the times when she sang this.

Guess I'll register in the morning at 7:30 for, "Geology 1121 with Lab"
and "Math 1001."
That SHOULD be enough to at least get my Associates Degree.

But now,
I got them dang leaves to wrangle....

Best,

Ya know, some may not realize the difference between someone who can play an instrument,
someone who is a musician and who is a performer.
Watch for this in videos...

I guess that y'all would realize this truth if you wasted a minute to think about it.
I waste a lot of minutes thinking of different things.

Anyway, I understand music from a different perspective than others;

I've played on stage my own compilations, I've recorded in a studio,

been a "Guest DJ" on an FM station,

and,

I've listened to AM radio under my covers in the 60's as a kid and have loved {almost} all kinds of music!

I guess what I'm tryin' to say is that I've always loved music and knowing and having "studied" music,
I can always think of a song that I want to hear to suit my mood.
Sometimes my mind can't come up with the right tune.''.

And then sometimes, I bust out my "git -box" and play what I feel....maybe to never be played again.

But it is true, what the wise Sages' teach: "Music hath charms to sooth the savage beast."

I can provide the song that you may only know a couple of words to. Or another version of the same song....
As my responsibilities of Assistant of Music,
I will always try to satisfy requests, additional information about song/groups/individuals
and personal experiences. "Scott's Stories...." :tongue3:
Like my first ever concert!....Alice Cooper. I snuck in. I was, what 14?

My Best to all Musically!

Scott

Song including two words to i.d.? ,.."stereo appliances" then.
I have not refound (there,s a special word) it. Possibly not standard fare like witch queen by Redbone, or swampwitch Hattie by Jim Stafford.

is there a doctor in the house? Hey Doc, went to med center wed for a sore heel. he gave me diclofenac for inflammation, do I need to take the whole months worth? Or stop since the pain and swelling are gone and save the rest for future recurrence?

Stop once the pain and swelling are gone. It is an anti-inflammatory so you do not have to worry about what happens when you stop antibiotics. If it flares up shortly after you stop it then I would restart it and not stop until you run out. That will give it a chance to heal...no pun intended.

Hummm.... I was thinking of dressing up my GTI-2500 as an Excal II for Halloween, but I'm afraid I'll scare the batteries out of my Infinium LS.

Hey Guys,

Busy weekend and hope all of you are well. Finally got winter weather here, and was on the Lake hunting today in 3-4 ft, waves, makes life interesting.....

Roger, your post of a couple days age touched me deeply,( "House of the Rising Sun")....lost 6 classmates in that war, and my 2 roommates in wildlife school were Green Berets, with 2-3 tours.....learned more from them tan the professers, and we are still in touch! More than most, I know what you went through, and can't thank you enough for your service and sacrifices.....you are one of my hero's!

On a more happy note, Glad to see that all of you enjoyed a good weekend.....need to lay my head down, and relax......see you all later.....Gary

Jeff/Crispin,
Also anti inflammatories are pretty rough on the tummy I've been told.

I used to give anti-inflammatories to my ex-wife... did for 6 months or so. Took her to the doctor for stomach ulcers and the doctor told me that the anti-inflamatories wouldn't help a bit, she was naturally fat.

Finally back home.... Got stranded on the dirt road for a few hours. Flat tire, no problem until I snapped off a lug nut into the crappy tire iron (four way one is in the shed at camp) and was pretty much screwed after that. Long story short, after 5 hours I'm back at home. The Winter wonderland was upon the region and decided that there was more prudent things to do other than detecting and getting soaked in the wet snow. Let's just say that other avenues became available with the snow and the ice. We made it up to the river in order to go for Whitefish on Saturday night and had a real fun time up there with no fish to be had. It turned out to be a awesome night of some good beverages and tall tales at the fire alongside the river. Poured out some Belgian style beer for relevantchair and let Mother Nature know that her drink flowing through the river was from my pal in Michigan. All in all it was a fun weekend over all and will be heading out next Thursday night in order to find the fish that have eluded up for the past couple weekends. Yup, Winter is starting to tighten a grip up here and I fear that the detector may be soon stashed for the season. It's all good though, it comes with the territory. :icon_thumleft:
