Scott, put your feet in a bucket of ice water, for 5 to 10 minutes, if you can stand it. That may bring your fever down some.
You don't want that fever going above 102.

Running cold water over (palms up) your forearms works well also.

I have to admit I never thought of trying to cool a fever at all, much less with these methods. I will try the next time I have a fever... hopefully a long time from now!

Back in the 50's, my mom ran such a high temperature, blisters came up on her lips and eyelids, they packed her whole body in ice. Not too long ago, a friend of mine's child had a fever 103 by the time they got her to the hospital, they took the kid straight into the hydro pools and put her in ice water.
Ice cubes on the neck, under arm pits, on the wrists...... perhaps primitive, but better than frying your brain!
