CRISPINS CRITTERS

The sentence is one of three most frequently told LIES: "The check is in the mail." 2) "I'm a government lawyer, and I'm here to ___you."
and 3) Y'all are going to really save money with my new Obamacare Plan!!"

Maddog, please keep your politics out of this thread

Good afternoon, and see that I once again left the party too early last night, oh well, Hit the water at o-dark 30 this am, and got chilled to the bones, this going from shorts and tee shirts, to fleece and jeans in one day is too much. Was warmer in the water, temp 72, while the air was 49 with 15 mile winds......but the feeling of the outdoors was priceless...need to finish some house chores..back later......Gary

Gary, I wear shorts almost year round even in the winter when at home I wear shorts. Just not at work in the winter. In a perfect world all the clothes I would own would be shorts, flip flops and t shirts...

Diesel,

Sounds like you need to move south...

Morning coffee...
(just remember, Florida is full, you are the last one we will allow in)

Dram,

My most comfortable wardrobe sounds like yours, but the Lake was chilly this weekend putting in duck blinds and finish up the training on the young lab who getting ready for her first season...we took the boat out this morning in 35 mph winds and 2-4 ft. waves crashing the shoreline. Suspect that now that the work is done, the wind will die....I hope so, my wife just left for her practice with her Dragonboat team, who heads to NJ this Friday for the last race of the season....I'm staying here and goose hunting!

GIB,

Pleasse! Make an allowance, we just booked tickets for So. Fla. in March!.........Gary

my HVAC contractor mentioned something about terminal ducks. Could this also be included in your charity event??

Even if the ducks were blind, it would not be a charity event, but then again I shoot a 20 ga. percussion lock side by side only, giving to the increased challenge of blackpowder for all my hunting!..I get enough for the larder, and smoker, but enjoy sitting on the lake and just watching the birds, the dogs, the changing seasons and colors on the Mtn. The one factor that still keeps me here in the North Country....Gary

Larry,

We are equal opportunity sportsman, if they can fly or swim, they are welcome to enter our decoy spread!:laughing7:....Gary

The ducks where you live are apparently not aware of the hazards of smoking, eh?

The summer season residents here at Long Point are rapidly closing up and heading back to the city, and the woods and water's are once again ours. Getting ready to head out to the marsh and do some exploring, but first I have to post tonight's dinner menu, I PM'd Crispin last night, and told him that he had a celebratory dinner in the works, and here goes.......

In his honor there will be copious amounts of his favorite brew on ice, and we will add pitchers of white and red wine coolers for those who want....

A huge tossed salad of garden fresh, tomatos, cucumber carrot, onion, radish, lettuce,( I like Romaine), and cut up cheese, and hard genoa salami. This will be dressed with an oil, and vinegar, and fresh herb mix.

The main course is a mix of sweet, and hot Italian sausage, cooked in olive oil with peppers and onions. Simply saute' the sausage, until 1/2 done, add sliced onion and green and red
pepper, 2-3 clove crushed, diced garlic, red pepper flakes to taste, and a can of diced tomatos. Simmer until the sauage is done and the vegetables cooked.....serve over thin spaghetti and enjoy.
On a cool and windy day as today, this will fill the body and soul......be back later after a walk in the weeds......Gary

For sure, shoot me a pm when ya'll come down! CC is just right down the street from me. As for Islamorada, check out the Coral Bay Resort, just below Robbie's, on the gulf side. It's our regular yearly lobster week hangout, 'cept for this yr, the Mr had to work up there where Rebel-KGC is in Va.
Oh, and Bud and Mary's don't put that ethanol crap in their gas either, fyi.

I am heading down in the middle of October for two weeks. We will eventually move down full time into the house we just purchased. I am really looking forward to some beach hunting with Crispin and some time in the pool!!!
Love the picture! If my wife would have agreed years ago we would have bought a houseboat and lived the good life as you are! Are you around Rockland way later today? Or this next week during the evenings in Belfast ?
