CRISPINS CRITTERS

And,
Some days,

You feel like you're tied to the "whipping post..."

Some good ole Southern rock for y'all's enjoyment!

One if the best rock songs ever written with the GREAT Duane Allman was still alive, probably the greatest slide guitar player.

Tomorrow will be a sad day for me;
My locksmith Friend's Grandfather died and I will go to the service to pay my respects.

I knew Mr. Maxey, have been to his house and broke bread with him and the Family.

I will make myself available to any who wish comfort and support.....

My Friend's Family is my Family....

Best,

Scott

Jerseyben, My Friend,

Though I wholeheartedly encourage new "Groups,"

As a member of the original Wolfpack,
I strongly advise against infringing upon the memory of Tom Tudor and the original Wolfpack.

Perhaps your "tongue-in-cheek" proposal is in jest....
or your idea is to create a group with more levity.....

Please keep in mind that the original Wolfpack should not be infringed upon or made to appear
illegitimate.

My Best Wishes,

Scott

Original member of the Wolfpack since 2009.

Au24K,

Please allow me to address this. The key word in JB's post was "inspired." Crispin's Critters and The Wolfpack are two seperate entities and very different. I think of it as akin to The Boy Scouts inspiring The Girl Scouts to start up. Any member of the Wolfpack is welcome to join provided they follow our rule of no politics and necessary politeness. These are the same qualifications for any who wish to join. If we ever have need of communicating with the Wolfpack; you, as Ambassador to the Wolfpack, will speak for Crispin's Critters as a unit. I'm sure JB meant no disrespect.

I saw Mr. Maxey just two days prior,
He was lucid and ambulatory...

Wish I'd spent more time talking to him.....

No one knows the day that the Lord will call you home.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to have known him and occasionally helped him around his house.

I will continue to be a presence to his widow and the rest of my Friend's Family.

I'll dust off a suit for tomorrow, which I haven't worn since my Mom's funeral, in 2001,
and try to provide strength to those who need it.

A part of living is dying.....

Crispin,

Perhaps my reply was a bit terse;

However, I made clear my feelings of the association to the "Wolfpack."

I had hoped to dissuade any reference to the original Wolfpack....

I hope that no offense was taken by anyone.

My Best Wishes,

Scott

Anyone got matches?

We didn't start the fire.....

Best,

Scott

Tomorrow, I will try to be one to provide strength,
and hope that others can lean on me....

Best,

Scott

PS.

I will also need strength, so, please keep me in your thoughts...

OK,

Here's another "true story...."

One night, Back in the early 80's,
My MP buddy and I was parked on Broad Street,
in Augusta, Georgia,

killing a doob, when a big, bad cop approached my car on foot.

My buddy quickly passed it to me, with a full lung, and pointed outside.

I pulled, and casually looked out to see the cop approaching....

I immediately "ate" the remainder and lost my buzz.

We stepped out of my car and the cop said,

"I know what you boys are doing, and if I ever catch you doing it again, I'll bust you."

We thanked him and went to the club, called "The Whipping Post,"
and enjoyed the live band, the "Allman Brothers."

Best,

Scott

Glancing out my door, towards the west, I see that it is poised to rain again tonight....

Reminds me so much, as the thunder rumbles from afar, getting closer....

I believe you...... I saw Jimi Hendrix live as a surprise walk on to a local concert back in 68 or 69, don't remember the exact year.

I was enjoying a bottle of Boonesfarm wine and some smoke at a local battle of the bands outdoor concert. The announcer came on stage and said we have a surprise guest, he then says Ladies and Gentlemen the great Jimi Hendrix..

I thought right, someone is going to play a couple Hendrix songs, I was wrong as Hendrix then came on stage and played a long set......

Folks,

One of my favorite songs.....believe I've posted different versions before but this one is top notch.

Mark Knopfler - Brothers in Arms.

And,

Who will stop the rain?

WOW!

This must be "story night..."

Here's another from my "illicit youth...."

I was enjoying an evening with my newly married wife, (#!, 1978) when a crash and knock was heard at my door.

Well, we were "enjoying" the nuptials and listening to my stereo cranking out this tune, LOUDLY,

And who should appear?

Yes, the local constabulary!

Quickly apprising the situation,
I confronted the interlopers and sent them upon their way to investigate
true crime being perpetrated that evening in so many words....

I learned that sometimes it's not HOW you say it,
it is WHAT you say....

(I still have pull after 25+ years in that jurisdiction.....)

Best,

Scott
