CRISPINS CRITTERS

Just got back from shooting today to sight in a new scope on my Lever-Action .45 Long Colt.
Didn't take long....

Lever .45 scope sighted in.jpg

Also wanted to sight in my new Smith and Wesson M&P 15.

Only took about 10-12 rounds to be the bad-ass dead-eye that I was 40 years ago....

Of course, whenever I go shooting,
I take all of my arsenal, which means that I now pull weapon cleaning and oiling duty on 5 semis, 4 wheels and 4 long guns....

Seems that I enjoy cleaning and oiling almost as much as shooting.

Anywho, as I was coming home, I decided to stop in at the bottle shop for some adult beverage refreshments.
Friends, I always carry a loaded piece on my hip and I noticed a cop sitting on the side of the road as I drove by.

OK. Not a big deal.
But, when I pulled into the bottle shop parking lot, I noticed that the cop pulled in right behind me. That's odd....
I go into the store, make my purchase and walk back to my truck.
The cop has positioned himself closely to my truck and his engine is running....
I'm thinking to myself, "Self, if the cop pulls you over and asks if you have any guns, how will you respond?"

More later.....

I have Concealed. If he speaks to you, let him know you’re armed immediately.... should be no worries after that

Yeah, me, too.
But, so MANY weapons on me.....
And, I don't take good pictures.
Looks like I'm the next person on your local news....
Or the latest mug shot in your local Post Office....

I've realized why pictures on drivers licenses and such are horrible....
Because after waiting for hours to complete your process, they then want a photo.
NO ONE smiles for the photo!

Time to relax and have a cigar.
A Romeo Y Juliet Reserva Real.

It's not often that I can enjoy a premium cigar, but, tonight I will!
A great weekend and looking forward to the week ahead!

Hope all of my Friends are well and have a wonderful week ahead!

Bill,
Spring is nigh and perhaps you wish for pepper seeds.
I have access to habenero and reaper seeds.
I have been boiling peanuts with reaper peppers for the last 2 days and they are now ready.
Oh, such a hotness that you cannot stand! Scotty Hotness!

Would you be interested in exchanges of seeds again?
I have sources.....

So, I get in my truck, a casual glance towards the cop, and I'm thinking,
If I get pulled over and he asks if I have any guns, I'll say. "Absolutely. But don't ask about my bazookas!''

Well, he didn't pull out after me and I realized that it was just a police "presence" in the area due to increased crime in the area recently.

Thank goodness, because of the recent crime in the area, I was prepared. As I always am. 8-)
And I had a cop nearby to back my play if the situation required it.

Only in America can a man or woman freely walk about, armed to protect themself, and know that the police are there to back them!

Now then, I've another batch to send to Tulsa.
Another $500.

I've still got another 2-3 thousand dollars of Blues left to sell.
If any one is interested, I can PM my list.....

On it's way to Tulsa....

And, Friends, do you not see the passion of my knowledge of music?
Whether it is from the 20's or even today, there is something we all can share.

Freedom.
A concept that many do not grasp.

Today, many rush and hurry, scurry, about their day without realizing what Freedom means.

Freedom means being able to wake after a night of peaceful sleep.
Freedom means being there to hug your kids and kiss your spouse.
Freedom means never having to worry if you will be imprisoned for your thoughts.
Freedom means that someone else paid for your Freedom.
Spend a moment and thank those who paid for your Freedom.

Scott do you remember a couple years ago I took my grandson on vacation to Key West? We stayed 3 nights and 4 days on a 44 foot Morgan sailboat. Anyway we were running late. As I topped over a Florida hill, I saw the trooper put on his lights. So I pulled over. I handed him my license and concealed card. He asked me where was it. I said currently in my bag behind my seat. He said “ well let’s make sure it stays there and we both laughed. Yeup I got a ticket. 65 in a 55 I think it was?????? He asked what caliber I said 105. He said WHAT , do you mean 45? I said nope that’s the largest caliber in the AC-130 circling us overhead !!!!! We laughed again!!!

Specters, Spookys Apaches and Warthogs have saved my ass more than once!!

liberty is a specific freedom. Liberty is the freedom to the correct thing so long as you do not harm your neighbor in any legitimate way. For instance you are free to kill your neighbor for his shoes but none of us are at liberty to do so.

Being free to do what is right is not a guarantee that you will do the right thing, but it retains the opportunity to do the right thing. That is the kind of freedom that liberty is all about. Under liberty success or failure is dependent on the individual, and, the collective responsibility of respect for the rights of other people allows for the oportunity to succeeed.

As Alan Keyes once put it- Liberty is the Freedom to carry out God's will.

Time, time, time
See what's become of me...
Time, time, time
See what's become of me
While I looked around
For my possibilities
I was so hard to please
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a Hazy Shade of Winter
Hear the Salvation Army Band
Down by the riverside
It's bound to be a better ride
Than what you've got planned
Carry a cup in your hand
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a Hazy Shade of Winter
Hang onto your hopes my friend
That's an easy thing to say
But if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend
That you can build them again
Look around
Grass is high
Fields are ripe
It's the springtime of my life
Seasons change with their scenery
Weaving time in a tapestry
Won't you stop and remember me
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a Hazy Shade of Winter
Look around
Leaves are brown
There's a patch of snow on the ground
Look around
Leaves are brown
There's a patch of snow on the ground
Look around
Leaves are brown
There's a patch of snow on the ground
