CRISPINS CRITTERS

I’m perusing sailboats for sale and I read “Time and tide wait for no one”

It seems that I have started something with the maintenance crew about buying lunch....

Last week, after buying Steak and Shake for the Guys and yesterday springing for Subway,
Today, Kipp bought lunch from Golden Buddha.
I had General Tao's Chicken, (extra spicy, of course) and 2 extra egg rolls.

Let's see who steps up next to buy lunch....
(Hint: It will probably be me....)

Friends,
I have recently come to feel that I am not as much help as a mentor in Veteran's Court as I would like to be....
It is through little fault of mine; It is that there isn't the interaction and depth of assistance that I thought would be needed.

Therefore, I am considering resigning my mentorship.
I haven't yet told anyone except y'all here and now....Therefore, nothing is finalized.
If I do, I will still be available to my 2 Vets and Love and care for them as my Brothers,
But, with my working 12 hour days, having health issues and always being tired, I cannot be in Court with them when scheduled.

I am feeling tired and extremely saddened tonight....

But,
"For one to be able to help another, one must be able to help themself."

I just don't know how to tell my Vet Brothers that I can no longer stand with them in Court
and share the "Pledge of Allegiance" with them as I once did.

Hope all are well,

Scott

If that is so ,the guys are doin alright.
Telling them you are knee deep in alligators ,but as close as your/their phone; might be acceptable to some or all.
You'll figure something out with them. Together , likely as not.
My guess is you will all be together during the pledge. In spirit.

But ,that is my tired minds thoughts. Yours may well vary.
Cheerin for ya though.

Scott,

Do what you have to do....admin type of responsibilities weigh on us more than we like to admit.
So be there for the 2 vets you've commited to but as you mentioned maybe pass up on the court duties.

I still respond to Messages on Facebook.
One of my Vets, John, recently advanced to the next level of the program.
I messaged that I was very proud of him and to continue the fight for he is so close to winning.
The other Vet, Dale, called me recently asking advice on a legal matter and I guided him to consult with the Clerk of the Court for proper procedures of the issue he had.

Both of my Brothers have my phone number and communication is ALWAYS open.

Perhaps I'll continue, albeit in a limited capacity in regards to Court appearances.

That seems like a good fit at this time.

And now, some mellow music for my Critter Friends.

Thanks for being there for ME!

Y'all be good, hear?

Best,

Scott

An odd thought that I just had....

We all know on what day we were born.
We celebrate it year after year.

However, we don't know which date that we will die.
As each year passes....
We have no idea of that date.....
Unless we choose that date....
How about today...
The day that a Friend puts a gun to his head and blows his brains all over you.

The reason for my bad dreams....
Some days, I can't see a reason to live.....

Hell Scott, I never thought I’d see 30! Now look at me. I might die today, but I’m pushing 60! War story....... back in Afghanisuck, before every mission I would prepare myself mentally and I announced “ today is a good day to die’ after a while my Major pulled me aside and said “ brother that sends chills down our backs, why do you say that?” I said well it’s simple really. All of my personal life is in order, I have made peace with god and I am mentally and physically at the top of my game. My only thoughts are on getting this mission accomplished! Oh he says. I never thought of it like that. You are a true warrior!
