CRISPINS CRITTERS

My first car was almost this one. A 1969 Dodge Charger. I had cash in hand. My mother went with me. The battery was dead. My mother said no..... my first car was a 74 Mustang....... the car I tried to start was orange, no decals

Dad gum seller should have told you it was B.Y.O.B.. ( Bring your own battery).

Takes some juice to wind up a 440 ... ( In General Lee # 3 vs. 383 in Lee # 1 and Lee # 2.)

They bent some frames jumpin them puppies!

Scott,
Glad you figured it out. I usually set mine for 120/130% rangd so the print shows a bit larger not so hard on the eyes.

Regards + HH

Bill

Got it figured out.

There's a little magnifying glass up at the top for zoom and it somehow got to 500%!

Got that shipment of 55 pounds of foreign coins! :hello2:

That should keep me out of trouble for awhile sorting and cataloging....

Best,

Yesterday I spoke with the Director of Human Resources about coordinating a "Veterans Job Fair."
I mentioned that I was a Volunteer Mentor for Veteran's Court.
I suggested possibly hosting a luncheon with cold cut sandwiches, chips and drinks.
I told her that I'd speak with the Vet Rep at the Department of Labor.
She seemed receptive to the idea....

This morning in Veterans Court, I spoke with the Vet Rep from the Dept. of Labor and told him of my efforts.
I suggested that he contact the Human Resources Director to further coordinate an event.
I said that he could count on me to assist in any way that I could.

I certainly hope this goes forward!

Best,

Scott

I bought a1969 charger in California, ended up dropping in a 440 and new transmission. Car was rust free but needed a restoration. Sold it for a huge profit. Sad I sold it sometimes but overall glad I let it go. No time to do the car right.

a good rental too

About an hour after I got to work, the Vet Rep from the Dept. of Labor called....
I thought that it might be about the Veteran Job Fair that I had mentioned.
Instead....

He asked if I would be interested in mentoring another Vet along with the one I currently mentor.

I said, "Absolutely!"

He gave me the Vet's name and phone number and said,
"I've gotten good comments from Jxxx of your help and know that you can help Dxxx, also."

I asked about the Job Fair and he said that the Dept of Labor will be having their own Job Fair soon.
I said that I'm sure that the HR Director would be interested in sending representatives.

So, I guess things ARE going forward!

Best Wishes,

Scott

Genuflection:

As a Veteran, I respect the chain of command.
That being said, I have determined that I can accomplish more for my Veteran Brothers and Sisters by "standing down,"
somewhat in my efforts, and utilize the civilian chain of command.
That is why I have reached out to the HR Director instead of the President of the Company....

Although I have determined to proceed in my efforts in a less aggressive manner,
Know that my passion has NOT diminished.

I will always be the one that my fellow Vet can call upon when needed.
I will always be there to share my last meal.
I will always be there to help you carry your load.
I will always be there....
Because, as a Vet, I will give you my all.

Learned today that a Fellow Vet, an advocate of Hall County Georgia Veteran's Court,
Made himself known to others whom have passed...
He will be missed by those who knew him.

He now flies beyond earthly bounds....
Flying without wings....

Tristan's Uncle, also involved in Veteran's Court, was collecting funds for the Memorial flowers.
I gave generously....

"Yeah, I see ya watchin'. What are you lookin' for? My Gold? Well, you can't have it because I've got it hidden, see?"

Name the movie and win Fabulous prizes and untold internet rewards.....
and perhaps a clue to a real Treasure that I have hidden....

And, in about a month, I'll embark upon a journey to camp, hike and gem mine in the Franklin, NC area.

Birthday's only come once a year.....
I haven't been camping in over a year!
I think that I remember how....:icon_scratch:

I've got a case of MRE's, 2-3 tents and 4 sleeping bags ready.
I've got 3-4 gold pans, a sluice box and clarifying pans.
Any Y'all knows of the area and can give me some recon info?

Scott

I went to the VA this morning for my 6 month "turn to the right and cough" checkup. I was wearing this shirt and a "Big" mouth lady behind me taps me on the shoulder and says" Excuse me, but your shirt offends me." I said "really woman, if my shirt offends you imagine what my mouth can do!" She shut right up

Soooooo this morning on my way to the VA, I stopped at my favorite drive thru for breakfast. The young lady who is always there, leans outside her window. She looks at my truck real slow front to back, top to bottom. She says “7 inches?” Without taking a breath I replied “ no, 10 inches” she looked at me for a second and I said “ oh, you mean the truck, it’s on a 9 inch lift........ long pause. She started laughing so hard she couldn’t bring me my order!!!!!

The Human Resource Director told me today that the Company signed up to attend the Job Fair at the Department of Labor!

Best,

Scott

Just talked with my other Veteran for the first time and he said that he loves to fish.

Looks like I'm going to get a Fishing license and dust off my gear.

Perhaps he, my other Vet and I will have a fishing trip soon!

Y'all enjoy the weekend!

As Always,
Best Wishes,

Scott
