Joke of the day — An old couple were talking. The wife asked her husband, "How many women have you slept with?"

"Only you, Darling,” the man replied proudly. “With all the others I was awake."

Man I’m funny........

Threatening 30 degrees F here today.
Plowed lots of snow yesterday. Truck grunted even on straight pushes for the first time this winter.

Bought more paczki ' s today. And a new pair of plow guides ( wire filled vertical ends of plow ...post thingies to see where the plow angle and height are.)
And a c.m.a./ 6 , single rose and card for tomorrow. Hid a tin of candies a while back just in case. Gotta keep the peace at home ,I guess.

Latest bathroom update!!!
Shower is basically done!!!
Just need to install shower head and valve handle.
Now onto building a vanity...

Diesel,
Great job on the shower stall. So after the hardware is installed what's next on the agenda?

I’ve got to build a vanity for the 60” granite slab counter top I already have. It has two undermount sinks already installed. I just can’t see paying almost $1000 dollars for a premade vanity from Lowes or Home Depot. After that it’s onto another bathroom downstairs. It’s a easy one though as it’s small and only a half bath.

Folks,

It's pretty tough for any group to come close to Pink Floyd on this number. But to be fair this is a decent rendition.

Umphrey's McGee-Comfortably numb.

Bill,
Thanks for the tune.

While I agree that this is a quality rendition, I don't "Feel" that it is up to par....
That being said, my first thought is that they are a bit high in the octave.

In being high in the octave, I feel that they lose the "feeling" of the tune.
I also feel that the tempo is a bit too fast....A feeling that they are "forcing" the song.

NO ONE yet has my 100% approval of Roger and the gang performing this tune.

IMHO.

Joke of the day –A general noticed one of his soldiers behaving oddly. The soldier would pick up any piece of paper he found, frown and say: "That's not it" and put it down again. This went on for some time, until the general arranged to have the soldier psychologically tested. The psychologist concluded that the soldier was deranged, and wrote out his discharge from the army.

The soldier picked it up, smiled and said: "That's it."
2GF,

Do you remember an order thus?
"If god didn't put it there, pick it up. If you can't pick it up, PAINT IT!"

Yeah, Reminds me of a story about a First Sargent, full of himself....
Made everyone "paint" a parking lot (Landing zone) in camo with mops and paint....
Captain nearly had a coronary....
We had to resurface the parking lot....

Now then,

For all of you kids, Ole Scotty is gonna give ya some advice.

When I was married to my second wife, I knew that certain dates meant a lot to the ladies.
Dates like Birthdays, Anniversaries, Valentines Day and such.

Well, I never was one to keep up with such dates, so I developed a plan...

A simple plan, yet effective.

I had hidden in the garage a gift, already wrapped, with a card for each "occasion."

When needed, I would tell the little lady, "Yes, I remembered!"
I then would go to the garage, collect the needed gift and card, and was always the winner!"

See how my mind works?

Perhaps I have mentioned the "Outhouse" in Lawrence, Kansas, and the Bar that I Built?
A venue for early bands like: Green Day, Henry Rollins, Black Flag and Nirvanna....

I just received a message from a movie producer about the "Outhouse."
I had posted that I had built the bar for the Outhouse.
Here's a bit of the exchange....

"I built the bar at the Outhouse. It took a lot of abuse, but was built stoutly."

Really? The one that Donnie brought in on his pickup from somewhere else? or the other one that was just a counter taken out of some restraunt?

I had originally built it for the Sports Bar at the Eldridge House Hotel. After it was there for a couple of years, I was paid to remove it. I sold it to Donnie and we took it to the out House. I still have a couple of photographs of it when it was at the Eldridge House.

Y'all know that I've still got pics....
Let's see where this goes, if anywhere....
I was quite active in the local music scene back then.....
Performed on stage, original music, a few times at the "Bottleneck" and spent time recording in the studio....with an Ovation....
And, yes, I was there the night when Donnie fired his pistol in the air and I had to repair the holes in the roof the next day....
I'm not sure who was more drunk that night...me or him....

I used to ride my sled to the Outhouse on weekends to help with bouncing and
"Policing" the parking lot for "illegal activities."
Most times I found myself making sure that Donnie was straight. :laughing7:

Seems we all were a little bit crazy once....Dig?
But, wasn't it great?
And the stories that we can tell! :headbang:

Sometimes life will present a pearl for you to enjoy.

Sometimes life will bring you to your knees in pain and sorrow.

That is the nature of life.

How will you embrace life?

Willing to be there? Willing to give and share?

And, late as it is,
Time to moderate!

Dang!
Some think that I sleep and they can post crap at late hours!

Heh, heh...

They have no idea whom they are dealing with....

vigilanti semper!

BAN!

Late night? Or early morning?

Yeah, I'm here....
In the mountains and valleys of life, time is irrelevant. I wear no timepiece.....I only look to the sky for guidance....

Do we live to see tomorrow?

Why?

What does tomorrow promise?
Another day of labor and toil?
Or another day of opportunity?
Yet one more chance to help another whose lot is less fortunate than our own?

When you awake in the morning, what is your first thought?

Perhaps it is, "Where's my coffee?" Or, "Crap! It's only Wednesday!"

For me, my first thought is, "Thank You, God! You have given me one more day to make a difference in someone's life!"
I then choose to make that my goal for the day.

And, in doing so, I find that my life is enriched!

Not that I'm religious or anything like that, but, the day will then find me happy and in a positive mood.
And, no one dies. Yet.

Just kidding.....
I find myself eager and willing to help others and my tolerance is increased to teach others what they may not know.
I feel a lift in my daily activities that beats the sour disposition that my dreams usually give.
Certainly, I believe that when one wakes up in the morning,
One should not miss a hot cup of good, fresh ground coffee, a good cigar and get the day started right with a great tune....

Like this...(If you have a guitar, you know what to do, don't you?.....)

After the end of your day, you can think to yourself, " I had a great day!"

If Y'all got some more advice, I'd love to hear it!
But, for now, I must force sleep. An hour or three before I report for work.....
And a fresh cup of coffee and a cigar awaits....
And Scotty will be on point! Dig?
