I’m fishing at our favorite pond today with my grandson and dog. This lady gets out of her car and asks if we caught anything. On cue the gs caught a small blue gill. The lady starts screaming “ put it back it’s not breathing “ I just looked at her...... I put it back. We don’t keep them. She explains to me how fish have feelings ( they don’t) I said “ well ma’am, remember that the next time you eat a burger....... she left. Why do people always have to say something? My uncle had a great (RIP uncle) he said “ ‘‘tis better to remain silent and thought a fool......... than to speak up and remove all doubt”

Hey where is that GIB guy? I wanted him to know I recently picked up an autographed bikini pic of Jessica Alba hehehe

You were kinder to her than I would have been by far

That’s a good question. I haven’t heard from him in a long time. I hope he’s ok

Oh no!..

That's when you say " ummmm, fresh sushi" ,and bite the bluegill's head off before telling her "it don't feel nothin now".
Probably a good thing I was not there huh?......

Rut-Row! What did Treasure Hunter write that was so bad?????? Thirty lashes with a wet noodle and send him to bed without his supper.

Johnny, it wasn't Treasure Hunter that was bad, it was me.

I probably should have been banned, but I got a fair warning.
Warning noted.
I guess I got CQ for another week now.....
Sheesh! Will I ever learn?
Now I see why I was frequently passed over for promotion....

Be Well, my Friend!

Didn't go shooting with Marsha because she never called me back to confirm the journey.
I ain't about chasin' no skirt. I'm too old for all that.
Besides, it rained today. 8-)

I'll wait and see how this all plays out, y'all, dig?

Just bought a 1926-S Mercury dime. For $7.50.
Now all that I need for that book is a 1916-D, and a 1921-D and S.

Best,

Scott

Yeah, I spend my money foolishly....

I'm kinda stupid about different computer and technology things,
but I just signed up on "Twitter" and "tweeted" Stephen King briefly about possibly relating my dreams.
After all, aren't one's nightmares the things that are the most frightening?

I hope that I jumped through all of the hoops correctly to reach him, with this "Twitter" business.
And, if he is still interested in horror short stories, he may contact me.

I'll keep y'all updated on any replies.....

Best,

Scott

ADDED:

If anyone knows about "Twitter," can you give me some advice?

I'm guessing he wasn't moved by your story?? :laughing7:

Twitter is way better than Facebook.....or at least easier to understand.

Reply to a few trends, gain a few friends, get caught up in all the drama and then regret signing up for Twitter........or at least that's how it went for me. LOL......

I didn't pitch a story. I have many....
I am trying to make a contact to discuss the various dream horrors that I have.

One involves returning to my hometown to see Friends and Family, only to find that nothing is quite like it was.....

And another, like I had last night, involves visiting a Friend that I hadn't seen in years and his Father had passed, and, when I asked how,
he got close to my face and told me. Although he was close to my face, I couldn't hear his words.
His face, in mine, had a menacing look.
I asked again, "How did your Father die?"
He pointed to a field, with uncut grain, and said, "You go find out."
I looked towards the field, past the hog pen, saw a tractor, and then...

What are dreams but a subconscious extension of one's waking life?
Are there subliminal messages one should heed?
Perhaps one's dreams are a portend to future experiences?

Or, are the unpleasant dreams that one may have be a "release" of some sort, that equalizes the pressures one may face from day to day?

Without sleep, one experiences hallucinations. But, what if one experiences hallucinations while sleeping?

A young man, Me, in a foreign country, who speaks the language, yet is lost in a familiar town....
Again, me, lost in my hometown, and cannot find a friend to help me....

These are a few of the Nightmares that visit me while I sleep.

There are many others, that I won't relate, that involve death, pain and horror....
Perhaps you are familiar...
Being chased by a killer and you run but trip.....
You fire your weapon but it only clicks....
Or trying to call for help on a phone but cannot make the call....
Trying to save someone but you fail.....

In real life, my weapons don't just, "Click."
That's why I am fastidious about cleaning and oiling....

But, fortunately, you awaken before the worse comes about.

I do not awaken. I endure the worse before I awaken.
And, trust me, if you die in a dream, it's obvious that you don't die in real life.
You just have a bad day when you awaken.....

It has been documented in studies that most people don't remember ALL of their dreams; only the most pleasant and the most disturbing.

Tell me of the dreams that you remember from last night....

Hmmmm....
Late, again.

Sleep?
Dreams?

We all have to have dreams.
Whether they are waking dreams to look forward to ....
Or the dreams that we fear while we sleep...

Hope Y'alls dreams are pleasant.

Scott

See my Friends on the other side of the dreams.....

Scott,
A bit of advice I used to give the rookies at work. You can put forward a contrary position or view to the boss, however, when you're told to back down back down. The boss isn't always right but he's always the boss....lol.
