CRISPINS CRITTERS

Folks,

Porch swing slidin' - Justin Johnson.

Yet another song posted to my page on that social media website..... What's it called?

My eternal thanks on sharing music! :occasion14:

You have me searching.....

Not the internet, but my memory and collections.

Many times I searched for something only to remember that is was lost through a divorce or...?

I'm thankful to have the few cherished items from long ago.

Although my memory is not so sure of whether or not I still have it.

I am a bit sad, searching my albums for a disc....

From a collection of a few thousand down to a coupla hundred.....
(Cream of the crop)

And, I no longer have it.....

But,

When memories fade
And life is right now,
Always be strong,
I'm sure that you know how.

Many have died for your way of life,
Our Military; Heroes all.
Many serve 24/7/365 today,
As Volunteers, they've heard the call.

This experiment with "Democracy..."
Can it survive even a year?
My Friends, We are Americans!
We hold Freedom most Dear!

Happy "Trump Day" to All!

Folks,

Jeff Healy - While my guitar gently weeps.

Bill,

Your posts of musical selections are not allowed for some reason...
I have my suspicions......

Perhaps this is what you wished to play.....

I also have interweb issues. You are never alone, my Friend!

Best,

Scott

The Habby seeds I was given were in the form of the dried peppers.

OK.

Here's the plan.

Find a University that offers what I seek.

VA PTSD Resources are paramount for an internship........

Yes.

I have to move.

As a hoarder, I must decide...

What to keep and what to part with.....

The criteria is simple:

Weight vs Value.

When I worked for Mayflower moving, a guy wanted to move his concrete blocks!
In addition to a 4 bedroom house full of stuff.

Sheesh!

Pack, load, drive.
It all paid the same, Dig?

I've always had a maxim...

"3 choices...
Cheap, quick or good."

Pick two.

Scott

Hopefully my currency and coin collection won't be too heavy to move with.....

Ahem!

Forgive me as I become excited while perusing an entomological discovery!

The wonders of life yet to explore!

Sometimes I'm easily amused....

The vision seen through a microscope of the smallest thing.
The vision seen through a telescope of the largest thing........
So much yet to learn!

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!!!

Folks,

I was fortunate to see these 2 gentlemen live back in the day....old time southern blues musicians.

Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee - Bring it on home to me.

Scott,

I believe it has something to do with the copyright issues depending on the country where the video was uploaded, etc....

OV,

So if I understand properly the guitar playing by the young guy is actually Ry Cooder playing.... I knew he was good but this playing is truly impressive....Steve Vai is no slouch either.

Bill

Ry Cooder did most of the soundtrack, Steve Vai .... is the guitar god, playing the Devil's guitarist..
WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes Steve actually dropped the guitar, as seen in the movie, it had to be fixed and is in the R & R hall of fame, or hard rock hotel? Jackson is making a few of those guitars, and they are expensive and sold out!! Jackson Custom Shop CROSSROADS "Jack Butler" Replica San Dimas Red Sparkle | mattsmusic.com repros, . Jackson is one of thee best rock guitars, the compound radius fingerboard is one of the reasons.
The 17 minutes fly by.....

Though the blues guitar sounds aren't truly coming from Ralph Macchio's fingers, he plays the music of Steve Vai and Ry Cooder note for note. His fingering, slides, and bends are precise until the "main" solo, which incorporates Paganini's 5th Caprice, where he does not finger the correct locations on the guitar. He mostly uses the same pattern (scale on the top frets, then another one in the bottom frets). The scales shift and change sound, but his patterns remain the same.

Eugene's Trick Bag", the updated classical piece at the film's climax, is largely based on Niccolò Paganini's Caprice #5. According to myth, Paganini, sold his soul to the devil for his musical skills. Steve Vai replicates Paganini's legendary rolling eyes, long unkempt hair, and gaunt look.

"Eugene's Trick Bag" was fully transcribed in Guitar World magazine in 1987. Being forced (trained) :laughing7:as a kid in classical guitar, I loved this piece.

Steve Vai played both sides of the guitar duel, while acting as Jack Butler, the devil's guitarist. Ry Cooder recorded the slide parts and produced the soundtrack.

Eugene is the first name of the classical guitar composer Paganini. It's also the leads name, Ralph Macchio's character.

With the ominous dread of moving looming near,
I have begun a modicum of investigation into UNCA.

They have a Psychology Program that I feel I can fit into and advance my learning...

https://psychology.unca.edu/

The University is merely 144 miles away.

And yes,
THERE ARE MOUNTAINS IN NORTH CAROLINA!!!

Perhaps a weekend visit is in my future?

The best option that I have found to date!

Best Wishes,

Scott

Now then...

VA centers in the area for internship?

The bank job of safety deposit boxes are soon....
Replacement locks have been ordered.

I'll try to remember to take my camera.....

And I have been instructed to straighten up my shop workbench.

OK.

(NEVER dictate a Genius's workbench!)

Guess a lot of my tools will come home with me this coming week....
The beginning of the end? Or a new horizon yet to explore?

Sometimes...when adventuring ..home really is where we hang our hat.
Never mind what time life sets adventure in motion ,or hats ,or a peg to hang one on.

Who calls the step, or the cadence... forward today? Really.
