CRISPINS CRITTERS

I now think back ...

To another time...Ah! Our memories....

Thanks again, Bill!

My Best Wishes,

Scott

"Angel From Montgomery"

I am an old woman named after my mother
My old man is another child that's grown old
If dreams were lightning thunder was desire
This old house would have burnt down a long time ago

[Chorus:]
Make me an angel that flies from Montgom'ry
Make me a poster of an old rodeo
Just give me one thing that I can hold on to
To believe in this living is just a hard way to go

When I was a young girl well, I had me a cowboy
He weren't much to look at, just free rambling man
But that was a long time and no matter how I try
The years just flow by like a broken down dam.

[Chorus]

There's flies in the kitchen I can hear 'em there buzzing
And I ain't done nothing since I woke up today.
How the hell can a person go to work in the morning
And come home in the evening and have nothing to say.

[Chorus]

I sent this message to my Academic Adviser from UNG.
(We still stay in contact. She has always been by my side!)

She replied thus:
e is a wonderful place . . . or, at least it was— I’ve only visited once and it was years ago . . . but it reminded me of Oregon more than any place I’ve been since Ieft Oregon I found this reply to be a bit of "non-committal" in nature, for some reason. :icon_scratch:

Compared to previous replies....

Perhaps I should invite her to meet for coffee soon?

She is absolutely my closest Friend on Faculty at UNG.

-----------------

I cleared my workbench today.

Probably was a good thing.

But now I won't remember where I put things....

I filled 2 toolboxes to bring home.

Now then, I've got the shelves to do.

Then the "pinning" workbench. Yes, 2 shelves there, also....

I'm gonna have to find an auctioneer soon!

eBay just won't work and Craigslist takes too long with all of the idiots saying they want and not following through or trying to lowball you.

I ain't got time for the damn games, Dig?

Hope all are Well!

Best,

Scott

I don't know Ashville.
Reviews ( depending on source) claim it liberal yet tolerant too. Rent can be an issue ,more so if not working of course.
Mountains ,indeed are in range.
Some winter but less heat and humidity( while present in season) than many Southern states.
Here' s a vegans post about moving there. ( no offense vegans).

What? Block my nitecap...No way ,if not a door; then a window.

And now, I think of my communications with my Congressman,
Whom I have met with more than once concerning Veterans issues...
And now, perhaps arranging an interview with the newly elected President to....

NEVER FORGET OUR VETS!

I feel great things for me this year to help my fellow Vets.... :notworthy:

Best,

Scott

(Perhaps a visit to UNCA this weekend?

And a quick play at Cherokee?)

What's the tourney "Buy-In?"

I might have a grand to play.... Or three....
What's the winner get, mate?
I hear that the buffet is impeccable.....
I'll be the judge.....

And today, I learned the value of time.
$6.41 for a new battery for my watch.....A cheap, counterfeit $10 "Rollex."

And...Who's YOUR Congressman, huh?

Ya know, I miss the times that I could go in the "Back Yard" and fire any of my weapons....
Sighting in new scopes and such.....

Well, I still have my weapons!

And I can play them like a finely tuned 12 string Ovation Guitar. Dig!

Y'all be well, my Friends!

Best,

Scott

Seems I've missed a lot of good music! I saw a Vet in a t-shirt today that read " I survive entirely on caffeine and hate" lol I liked that. Had to share it.

Merely hours after my post on Treasurenet,

I saw this:

Of Course, I had to contact Congressman Collin's office thus:

Perhaps you might get cooperation with Veterans Issues now! Have Bill Kokaly contact me if I can help.

Best,

Scott

Folks,

Somewhere a beautiful duet.

Reminds me of the sweet voices I heard in the "soundproof" music rooms next door in Murphy Hall at KU that I snuck into as a youth to practice and play piano.

When I felt particularly uninspired, I listened to a vocalist practicing in the next room....

Whether it was Classical, an improvisation or an original, etc I tried to softly play along.....

Quite stimulating for a teen nerd, ya think? :tongue3:

Best,

Scott

Folks,

Alberta Hunter - Georgia on my mind.

Thanks, Bill.

Knowing that I'll probably move out of Georgia....

~sniffle~

Part of my Heart and Soul will always be in Georgia!

Ahem!

Here's some good ole Georgia Boys with some guitars...

Ya know that every note must be right, as is my punctuation, grammar and spelling....
Scott is such a ........
Guitars smashed in the past.
Tuning college pianos surreptitiously.....
I still have a home-made tool that I created....
Somewhere...Just seen it this week.....But where?
Ah! Cleaning my workbench!
Now, which toolbox is it in?

Have I mentioned that I've restored antique uprights?

My Best Wishes Always,

Scott
