CRISPINS CRITTERS

Old fishing hunting former co- worker friend been having a rough go of it with cancer.
A Nam vet and things got advanced before treatment.
We've had some interesting calls when he was going through treatment...
Docs told him today they did not like his odds in the beginning but did not want to discourage him.
Today he got an all clear.
A second chance for awhile.
It goes fast.
Spend it wisely( ya-right) to be happy.
What's wrong with being happy?
Are you happy?
If not ,why? And get happy with whatcha got.
What/who we are is a perspective that can be changed ,to a point.

Cripes , I need to get back out in the field.........

Yeah. You got right field, I got left.

Together we keep the alleys clean!

Congrats to the Cubbies!

Try oxyclean it does wonders for my grease and oil stained work clothes.

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!!!

My mountain camping trip was thwarted due to a flat tire and a hangover....

All things not being equal right now tonight,
I'll head for a brief respite of a "Day Hike" tomorrow.

I've also learned today that a fellow Treasurenet Member passed...

I cry as I type.....

Mental Granny, whom was my contact to send "home-made" wind chimes to and another set to give to Mrs. Timberwolf....

I plan on taking my guitar, camera and tripod tomorrow to record pics and video of writing a song for Evy.....
In my mountains. I'm sure that she would sing along....

What a beautiful soul; a lover of life, Jesus and an Oklahoma football fan!

I'll miss you Evy.
My Love to Hunter, Kirsten and...
I'm sorry....Forgive me...
I have no more words just yet.

A reach of a hand for your discomfort regarding your tangible loss of a friend.

A better you than me laugh at the flat and hangover makings of a song.

:notworthy:

Always, my Friend,
You seem to have your finger on my pulse....
I hope to perplex you for many more years....

Best,

Scott

PS. Congrats on your Charter Membership renewal!

And, as I now re-pack my ruck for a different mission, one of music and the loss of a Friend, I offer this selection....

Yeah, I'm still crying.
I mourn a deep loss...
You got something to say?

Well, out with it, man!
We all would like to hear it, Dig!

For real...
Nobody wants to hear of loss.

We have all had loss.

Do this for me, Y'all...

Find the one you feel closest to.
Walk up to them, hug them and tell them thanks for being an influence in your life!
Tell them that you will make them proud.

Then DO IT!

Dig?

"Morning formation is at 0400. We will head into the mountains. Think of the mountains as your Family.
Those who love you and those who forsake you.
How do you feel now, maggot?"

"I feel that now is not the time to Fark with me, Cap.
I know mountains. If you want to live, Sir, you will shut the ***k up and follow my lead."

Ah! Soldier, you are now ready for the mission!

My first CO was Captain Scott.
How strange a coincidence.... He was soon replaced....
There can only be one Scott. Dig?

And yes, I've certainly said too much again.....

And, Scotty was only 18 years old?
An education that has eventually found it's way to a college Degree! Owing no one financially because of hard work, multiple scholarships, attending Honors courses, all nighters and coin from my own pocket.

What is your passion? What is your Desire? What is your goal?

Now then. What is my next goal? and where?

Best,

Scott

Yeah, I've even gotten ugly with a full Bird and won!
JAG was called in but could do nothing.
They supported me.
I represented myself.
Of issues concerning National Security and Nuclear Weapons.....
The "Cold War" wasn't always cold....
I can say no more.....

Never underestimate a lowly Veteran.
We still own fire....Dig?

Sorry, some one is knocking at my door....
What an odd hour for a visitor....:icon_scratch:

Scott I'm at the school parking lot waiting to get the kids. This lady locked herself out of her car beside me. Locksmith is here but he's been thru 3 sets of tools so far. He's going thru the door/window. OPENED IT ! Maybe 5 minutes. $45.00 ...... that's a skill set I wish I had!!

Really?

No one finds humor in the same dark corners as ole Scotty?

No likes?!?

After no edits?!?

I must be getting old.

Has no one heard of Vince's legal woes? Something about biting a hooker.
Or a hooker biting him.... :dontknow:

Either way....

There's multiple references to humor.....If you know where to look....

"It's not funny if no body gets it...."

rod-serling-intro-01.jpg

"What constitutes humor to you? To me?"

"To laugh, it is an expression not only of humor,
but also of other times of joy and pleasantness....."

"Perhaps a short journey back into your life, every time that you laughed. And why..."
"Dim the lights, Roll the film and watch your life from above....
Here, in the Twilight Zone!"

Best,

Scott

Monday night, you know where I was....

IMG_1282.JPG
A minimal wait to find my seat and begin.

I started with a small salad, then went for the main course!

Taters and gravy, green beans, cabbage, black eyed peas, roast, pulled pork, chicken livers, Brussels sprouts, ham and...Dang!

My plate was full!

I finished that plate and went back for some fried chicken, tater tots and cauliflower with cheese.
Lots of cheese!

After finishing those 2 plates and 3 cups of coffee, I pulled away from the table to peruse my dessert choices.

A brownie, a slice of blueberry pie, ala mode, some chocolate "fondue" marshmallow action, banana pudding and another cup of coffee.

Friends, I'm STILL full!

I gave generously to DAV and tipped the waitress the rest of my wallet's contents...about $7-$8.

The Best meal from Golden Corral I've had since last year....

KUDOS once again to Golden Corral for their support of United States Veterans!

Best,

Scott

Ah!

Surely then you have heard of, "Traffic."

Words.......

"The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys"

If you see something that looks like a star
And it's shooting up out of the ground
And your head is spinning from a loud guitar
And you just can't escape from the sound
Don't worry too much, it'll happen to you
We were children once, playing with toys
And the thing that you're hearing is only the sound of
The low spark of high-heeled boys

The percentage you're paying is too high priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams
But today you just read that the man was shot dead
By a gun that didn't make any noise
But it wasn't the bullet that laid him to rest, was
The low spark of high-heeled boys

If you had just a minute to breathe
And they granted you one final wish
Would you ask for something like another chance?
Or something sim'lar as this?
Don't worry too much It'll happen to you
As sure as your sorrows are joys
And the thing that disturbs you is only the sound of
The low spark of high-heeled boys

The percentage you're paying is too high priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams
But today you just read that the man was shot dead
By a gun that didn't make any noise
But it wasn't the bullet that laid him to rest, was
The low spark of high-heeled boys (heeled boys)

If I gave you everything that I owned
And asked for nothing in return
Would you do the same for me as I would for you?
Or take me for a ride
And strip me of everything, including my pride
But spirit is something that no one destroys
And the sound that I'm hearing is only the sound
The low spark of high-heeled boys (heeled boys)
