CRISPINS CRITTERS

Scotty, you eat better than I did camping
I used to backpack and ate mostly freeze dried food

Yes,

I have returned early from a shortened trip into the mountains this weekend due to an epiphany.

Epiphany | Define Epiphany at Dictionary.com
(#3)

Some details later, as I'm still sorting all this out..........
(And doing laundry....)

Drooling....,
'Clean, warm clothes....."

How many Vets need this?

I will find out!
Best,

Scott

Did someone mention an "epiphany?"

Yeah.
Me.

Tending a campfire in the Mountains, after the best meal ever had while camping,
half-way through the bottle of Port, it came to me....

Where I should be and what I should do when I get there.

But, campfires can certainly by influential, can't they?

Best,

Scott

Joke of the Day - - Have a great week -
King Ozymandias of Assyria was running low on cash after years of war with the Hittites. His last great possession was the Star of the Euphrates , the most valuable diamond in the ancient world. Desperate, he went to Croesus, the pawnbroker, to ask for a loan.
Croesus said, "I'll give you 100,000 dinars for it."
"But I paid a million dinars for it," the King protested. "Don't you know who I am? I am the king!"
Croesus replied,
"When you wish to pawn a Star, makes no difference who you are..............."

Well played, Brother, Well played!

Scott

The epiphany is that I can make a difference in the lives of Vets no matter where I might land.

I'll certainly "jump" again into a whole new world soon and will have to assimilate accordingly....
Landing firmly upon my beliefs!
Soon.

But Where?

Hope all have Big plans for the weekend!

Best,

Scott

Yeah,

I saw Christmas junk put up on aisles in the local Dollar Store today.

Now THAT is sad....

Instead of diatribe election year politics....

I offer this tid-bit.

2017 is just around the corner.

No need for a new calendar if you have one from:

2006, 1995, 1978, 1967, 1961 and so forth...

When a man or woman should choose to pledge their Honor, their Loyalty and their very Life for their Country,

Shouldn't that Country honor it's promise to those whom have sacrificed for their Nation?

Not intending to be Political, but, the VA needs help. QUICKLY!

Bob McDonald is the government liaison to the VA.

Heh, heh...

Anybody wanna guess how many times I've ever went to the organ grinder instead of talking to the monkey?

Sometimes, your passion will make you bold towards results.

Today, I Master keyed 10 KW1 lever set locks and installed them in an upscale Assisted Living Facility.

Interacting with the residents as I performed my work took me back to the mid 90's when I was the Maint. Supervisor of a similar facility.......

But, no time to enjoy memories....

More calls await.

But, I can always cherish the memories later.....as I do now. :notworthy:

Best,

ADDED:

I lived about 4 blocks from where this happened that night.

Protests of the Vietnam War ravaged the nation.
Those protestors had competition for the headlines...
Racial equality protestors caused the closing of local schools for several days....

Nostalgia:

Back in the early-mid 70's, living so close to the University, I found my way to the ROTC Building.
I think it was called Mallott Hall. :icon_scratch:

There was a shooting range in the basement and I was quickly welcomed by the students and staff anytime that I wanted to shoot and someone was there to "Buddy Up."

Some 20(?) years later, after being around a corner or two,
I attended KU.

Now, I may very well attend KU again.

But, my,
Hasn't so much changed since then? :dontknow:

When I hear the term, "Rocket Fuel,"

It reminds me what we called "X112 dietary supplement" when I was in Germany in the 70's.

How do you think some folks were able to pull double and triple shifts?

Ummm...

I've said too much?

Just got news my house in Florida is ok!!!! I thought I would be waiting until Sunday to find out. That's a big relief considering the massive oak trees around it!! I'm glad I had all the tree work done last year!
