CRISPINS CRITTERS

Just got home. 14 hours of baseball. 2 games, closing ceremonies. 13 year old made All Stars though. Check this out, my 10 year old won the home run derby! He hit 3 out of 5 over the fence!!!!! They call him Big Poppy after David Big Papi Ortiz the MLB Slugger. I don't know how this All Star thing is going to go, GLAD the season is OVER! My boys are like me though, I loved baseball.....still do. I'm proud of them. Ok post this, then catch up what everyone has said. Fowledup, good to see you back buddy.

Awesome kids! I can tell your proud!

Ok I finally got to read and catch up as I'm watching some UFC. Fowledup, us true sailors call the ICW the "Great Ditch or some in Florida call it the Great Trench" haha but I like your idea a lot. Shoot, let me join ya, I can be your naviguesser. Haha. The ICW has a lot of bridges in Florida and a lot of shallow water to be navigated around. My dream has always been to sail as many Caribbean Islands as possible. I'm still looking for a 40-45 Catamaran myself. Dram keep those sailing videos coming buddy. The stuff my dreams are made of!

I guess thinking of death, that's why I lived my life fast and furious. I always thought I'd go down fast ....... Well it was close quite a few times. I didn't think I'd see. 30! Now I'm in my 50's I don't think about it anymore. It's going to happen. So I guess I hope I'll get shot when I'm 90 in bed with a 21 year old, shot by her jealous husband! Hahaha I've been around too much death, time to live or it will consume me.......

Brother,

The older one gets, the more that mortality crosses their minds....

Do you also peruse the obits to see the ages of those whom have passed?

Yes, I am at the age that most male on both sides of my family have died.
If I remember right, none had long-term goals.
None really had any goals....

I HAVE goals!

Having goals and a reason to be alive tomorrow to help others sustains my energy and desire to live!

Of course, an occasional trip to the mountains and Nature always helps ole Scotty! :notworthy:

For advice on how to kick life's negative ASS-pects,

Just ask!

Best,

Scott

Dram,

Once again, your song comes across as a "text" link instead of a "photo" link. :icon_scratch:

And, yes, once again,
I followed that link!

Well played, Sir! Well played!

Best,

Scott

To the best of my ability I have tried to study sharks my entire life. In the 9th grade I wrote a paper about Shark attacks and designed an underwater Sealab that got me promoted to the 11th grade. Yeup I skipped the 10th grade, parents refused to let me double promote....yeah they always held me down. Yes, the day after I saw Jaws, I went swimming at Daytona Beach. I was one of the few in my church group in the water. Haha. Which brings us to today's story . I'm still laughing--- a 23 year old was taken by ambulance in. Boca Raton from a shark bite to her arm.......with the NURSE shark still attached! Oh yeah that ferocious nurse shark. Now that's funny right there..... I don't care who you are.......

And, tonight,
I will sleep in a bed.
After only a few nights on my own, in the mountains.
In a tent....

Or in the streets.

How will I survive?

WILL I survive?

We will survive!

Listen old soldier wherever you are
The hills or the valleys come near or come far
They say, youth's a treasure, we waste when we're young
So come down from the place where your medals are hung

You're forever returning and learning to fight
And you feel just like an old soldier tonight

Listen old soldier 'cause time doesn't wait
The moon's on your shoulder, the hour is late
There's somethin' there inside you, still calls out to you
And you won't fade away whatever you do

You're forever beginning, barely winning the fight
And you feel just like an old soldier tonight

You're not getting any younger that much is true now
But you've still got that hunger, burning in you now
So what do you do now?
What do you do now?

Listen old soldier to the sound in your ears
Of too many battles for too many years
There's only one thing you've learned in defeat
Losing is bitter and victory is sweet

You're always unravelling, traveling light
And you feel just like an old soldier tonight
Feel just like an old soldier tonight, hmm
