Today I did:
$150 in half's = skunk
2 dime boxes = 2 rosies both were 1964d
4 penny boxes = 36 wheaties, the oldest is a 1927

Wow, congrats on your Wheaties... that's a bunch. What condition do they range from?

Looks like you had the same 1 per box avg. on your rosies too. Sweet!! Before we get out to MD again we'll have 100 silver each no doubt.

They range from "good" to "extra fine", Last year I found 2 that were bright red like they just left the mint. I really want to find an IH before spring time. Oh and yes, I already have 50 silvers in just 9 days for 2009 - that's probably more than I will find huntin all MD'ng season!!!

Hey Fiend I've noticed that some of your finds look tarnished, but some look downright dug. You think some of those might be pouch droppings?

A lot of the coins look to be dug. Especially dimes, I have seen hundreds of red/brown clad dimes, same with pennies - lots of crusted and corroded zinc lincolns in the last 3 months.

As for Wheat cents, I have only found 1 dug coin - I just tossed it back into circulation.

I was driving around before work and stopped at a Chase branch that I have never been to before. I asked if they had any half's, and the teller said yes lots and how much do I want. I said all of them all (thinking they just had a few loose ones), well they have 2 whole unopened brinks boxes of half's. That was cool, I thought I was gonna have to dimes until my boxes come in on Thursday. Well I only had enough money on me to get 1 box before work so I'll have to go back after to get the other. Out of the 1st box I wound up getting 3 - 1968d's for my pile. Not great, but its a whole lot better than a skunk. I hope the other box has a few in it too!!!!

I also spied the tellers coins and I thought I saw a silver quarter edge at the very bottom of the stack (thinking she knew it was silver so she kept it at the bottom so she wouldn't accidentally give it away) Well I asked for that specific one and she handed it right over, it turned out to be state quarter that was just shining under the lights... Oh well that was my first attempt at getting a teller's till - LOL.

It's nice that they are good to you for those things. We have some confused, lovely, impatient ladies at our bank.

This is my very first machine finds ever!!! I went to drop my half's that I went through earlier in the day, I went to one of my new banks that has the coin counter out in the lobby for customers to use. Well first thing I did was check the reject bin, this is what I found:

13 memorial pennies
1954d silver dime
1996 $5 Mexican coin
1994 Chucky Cheese token


I also found a 1966 half today while CRH'ng before work.

Yea, I only had $160 so I kept going back until I got the whole box.

And I'm guessing you dumped the checked coins at a different bank? That's a lot of work man! Glad to see you didn't get skunked on that one.

Yea, I have one bank on one side of the street and the other on the other side.
