Coppercrazy's Coin Roll Hunting Log

I have just gotten into the coin roll hunting hobby and thought it would be cool to post some goals of mine for the year 2012 and my finds. So far I have only been searching boxes of pennies and I have ordered a box a week but might bump it up to 2. I will start doing some customer rolls of dimes or nickels very soon.

Whats a WAM? Sorry too tired to look it up lol

A WAM (Wide AM) coin is coin that was produced by the mint in most likely 98, 99, 00 by the philadelphia mint, and was struck on a proof die instead of a regular close AM die. In the wide AM's the A and M will be clearly separated and look similar to any proof cent or any pre 1992 cent. If it is a close AM (The typical cent) the A and M will be nearly touching or touching.

There are also other ways of identifying a WAM from a Close AM, but this is the most common way of differenciating the two.

Searched $875.00 of dimes and pulled 6 silvers, 5 Rosie's and 1 1958 Canadian. Most were costomer rolls, except for $140 of it.

It took about 3 hours, but hey it's still something. Going back out tomorrow about 15-20 miles out of town for 6 hours, hoping to go through maybe $1500-$2000, and I can expect to pull 12-16 silver.

If I pull $2,000,000 worth of silver rosies, I think I will go retire now, and I'm only 16!

Isn't it? Wow, I have no idea what I was thinking there...shows how bad my math is.

I changed my mind, but I'm thinking with $40,000 I buy myself a nice Mustang and blow it all! :P

3 more silver Rosie's in about $550 searched. Nothing special. Spent about $1.25 in gas. Picked up 2 boxes of cents and will go through them this week.

2 brinks boxes of cents produced 21 common wheats, and ANOTHER 2000 Wide AM. I guess something is better than nothing. :/ Had a feeling I was going to pull my first 1999. I'm sick and tired of just pulling 98's and 00's. $7 from my second $100 box of copper to sell. May go out tomorrow, so I can get enough copper to complete the box.

Found 5 CWR that got lost in my house, and went through them and found a clipped planchet (Barely a clip but it is), a wheat, and a Bermuda cent.
