Found this button over the weekend in a field a buddy and i have been detecting. When i got home and cleaned it up a little this is what it looked like:
Has a snake around center with tail in its mouth and 13 stars around edge.
Any help with id and value would be appreciated

I just used water n soft toothbrush at first then numerous applications of aluminum jelly. Seems to work good and still leave remaining gilt. We out lookin now.......... 3 buttons so far

Thats awesome. The site I hunt has been turning up three or four buttons a day, but nothing THAT old lol
