CoinStar Surfing Log...

Hey, it's been fully 27 days since you scored! Maybe it's time to look under the machines - I haven't yet either.

I see them in use but at the end of the day - nuttn! It appears someone at these stores is watching.
:laughing7:

Most of my finds are foreign coins. They aren't of interest to me. Fortunately, a minister that lives 30 minutes north of me collects just foreign coins. So, once a month at our local coin club meetings, I deposit them into his collection plate.............

A nice coinstar Rosie today!

The coin star I check in Oregon (20 miles north of me, I live in CA) had an error message of the screen. Not for the customers but for whoever maneges the machine. It said error your memory is getting low. So I touched the message and it went away but the machine would not work. Guess it needs some RAM. The tray was empty, as usual.

VP have you seriously not found even one coin yet this year?

I pretty much only look at two places here in PA and one place in FL. I just got back from FL and checked for over 2 months - nuttn' honey! It looks like store associates check after someone leaves the machines these days. :(

That's just wrong. Might be time to broaden your scope and try a few other places.

This + try checking time and day when store associates are slammed and too busy to check coinstar - look for lines at service desk, long backups at cash registers, etc.

Last week I found a lot of pesos and euros (along with some Czech coins)... I mean by the fistful. Took me 5 grabs to get out all the pesos. The euros were on a separate "visit". And also took a few handfuls to clean out.

Came away with about $3 in clad and a few Canadian.

I'm also going to keep a separate jar for the clad US coin that I find and tally up for the year. Buy something needed for the albums with it.

Oh, any ideas what to do with the pesos and euros?

You can always take them to a bank or money exchange place to trade in for us money. Otherwise, you may want to look each up to see if they have any collector value.
