CoinStar Surfing Log...

VP, you're certainly doing a lot better than I am. I checked yesterday again at the local Lowes Foods. It has been since October 27, 2017 since I've found anything. It feels kinda like it got popular around here. My last find was: 9 pennies, 2 nickels, 2 dimes and 4 quarters + a 2005 Bahamas quarter for $1.39 Nothing here since :(

I have dry spells as well - if you look at my last two recoveres (26APR2018 and 05JUN2018) - you will see it was about 40 days between recoveries. I have a feeling that once a store employee realizes that you can find change - the game is all over! I still keep looking - it is still fun to see if I find anything.

Dang - thought I fixed that - no, I just didn't have it in the correct position when I took the picture! Hey - I am entitled to a bunch of senior moments these days! :laughing7:

time to correct that log ---finds 5 and 13 are silver rosie dimes -- 1964 and earlier 90% --- # 27 the 1968 is not silver …us quarters 1964 and before 90% --- halves 1964 and earlier 90% -- halves only from 1965 to 1970 - 40%

the 1943 war cent is a zinc coated steel cent

I think canada's cut off for silver dimes / quarters was 1967/8

I use the modern coins I find to buy lotto tickets …. free lotto tickets = possible big bucks ...playing with OPM ...other peoples money = for free...

I received a plastic penny in my change at Hardee's last week. Probably worth as much as a real one.:laughing7:
