Coinstar Finds

Does the machine have to malfunction to have them open it, or do u just say you think you dumped something on accident and want to see if its in there?

I generally fill the bag so they have to open it to change the bag for me when I'm there. I've also use "hey, can someone open the machine for me? The bag in the machine is blocking the tube and I can't get my coins... I had the same problem last time blah blah."

Earlier today I found a nice 1964-D dime amidst a bunch of stuck-together clad dimes, nickels, pennies, and a Canadian nickel from the 70s. My fourth silver dime from a Coinstar.

I found this beauty inside the reject tray today! $44 worth of scrap gold!

July 11: $1.65 in mangled US clad, a mangled canadian quarter(magnetic), bermuda quarter and a no cash value token smaller than a us dime.

You guys just have all the luck; I check Coinstars all the time and all I have ever found is a zinc cent about 6 months ago.

I don't check the coinstars but I guess any coin machine is good enough for this post, right Sag?

You should! Even though the title is coinstar finds, they are still from a coin machine.

All of the ones I get are from the internal tray, so I don't really consider it a find since they give them to me. If I find any in the reject tray that is accessible without opening the machine, I will post them.
