Bucket List

vor-I have been on well over a dozen digs (with permission) since joining T-net a year and a half ago, how about you?

Tim
It was you who posted your name, your book, your mytreasurestory.com website and newspaper articles. All of these have your name in it. I believe that notoriety/fame is part of what you are searching for in life. That is your prerogative.

I prefer to keep my real life info private. My prerogative.

vor, your tirade proved that you don't need a big dog to leave BDD with a semi colon!

I am not sure what ECS is alluding to. Sure, I will admit to things in my past that I am not particularly proud of. vor pointed out some things I have done. He read them in a book that I wrote. Obviously I don't consider any of it a big secret. In the past my balls were much bigger than my brain. Things have kind of evened out. I put a little more thought into my actions. My point has always been that I have the balls to actually go for treasure when the odds are against me finding anything. I have learned that it is better to go to the trouble of getting permission to hunt/dig on some ones property. I have seen vor suggest on another thread to sneak in when the property owners are not around and dig without permission. I don't think this is good advice to give on a public forum. It is easy for him to give out this advice when he sits in front of a computer and remains anonymous to everyone.

Whether it is smart or not for me to have gone public remains to be seen. This thread is about a bucket list meaning things we may wish to accomplish while we are still able to. I am 57 and feel I am still in the prime of my life. I have been lining up treasure sites for many years. Whether or not they become part of a reality show remains to be seen. Fame/notoriety do mean something to me but it can't come with too high of a price.

This is a treasure hunting website. There are hundreds of different kinds of treasure. I just watched the first episode of this years "Gold Rush". I wish them luck as they will need it. I have no desire to do what they do. We all are free to go about treasure hunting the way we see fit. There will always be boundaries to push. To each his own and good luck.

Four years ago before I found the location I used a street-view site and was able to take a virtual
drive down that narrow road. I was looking for a house with a NW facing window as described by J
as he sat talking to the gf of the player. On the left was mostly fenced agriculture fields with no
room to turn around or sit by the roadside. On the right large parcels of property some with circular
unpaved driveways up to humble residences.

This is one example of cache hunting resources available now.

You got me confused with Connecticut Sam, a well known treasure hunter in Connecticut. I believe that if a abandoned house have broken windows and doors, it is fine to search inside and outside the houses. If the houses is boarded up, it is a crime to break into these houses, but we have the right to search the land. I enjoy comments by Lastleg and Vor and others.

The player and J, the man who ordered his coins, had many conversations. One was to ask J how he
would go about hiding them. J then spoke about pvc pipe buried vertically at depth. Afterwards the
player asked J outright if he would ever look for them himself. J responded that he probably would not.
I think this was a jovial exchange not meant seriously, but the player's question indicates he did not
want it found by anyone other than maybe the gf.

Thought she passed away.

More like "Do as I say, not as I did."
I never purposely stopped talking to anyone in particular, I have just read more, posted less.

VOR gave you a plug on your book. I've actually looked over your web site. I'm not a member of PayPal and I'm Leary of giving out my full name and address ..

Here is V's identities
VOR in pilot terms stand for VHF omnidirectional radio range. It's widely used in pilot navigation.

But I still believe it stands for Victor Ortiz Rodregueze
(Just kidding V)

Half is better than nothing......perhaps you can work out a deal.

Or if you are young enough, watch it, and wait for your opportunity .
I am too damn old to wait. Work out a deal, 50 - 50.

Uh-Oh, Dog thinks what's OK for him and Ovid is not OK for others. There is a name for that attitude
but I shouldn't say it on here...
You do have to give BDD credit, lastleg, with all the empty holes he has dug,he knows the locations of where treasure isn't!

vor, she did die, later. I guess this story has run out of steam. It has brought about reconciliation to
a degree which makes it worthwhile.

Fair game. Good luck.

God bless her, she was a Saint on Earth now she is a Saint with the Lord.

I haven't checked out the player's publications to see if he left any clues there. His works are known
in literary circles. BBJ yes I do emphasize with the lady and her pain is now gone. Evidently the coins
the player gave her were sold to pay expenses. If she had not contacted J about how to sell them this
story would never have been told. Needless to say, the principals in this drama will remain nameless.

Dog is correct. If the girl owns the property, she owns all the property. To sneak in and take the treasure would not only be trespassing, but stealing, as well.
