Avagos Goodies

Hi Zomotion, thanks for checking in! Yes, I marked my dumps for some time and was able to work out which of my dumps were going where so that I was able to keep my streams separate. But now with this latest batch, I'm getting a ton of my marks back from 11/14-3/15 which is a little confusing.

Either there's a new hunter re-dumping my dumps back into my supply all at once, or maybe my pickup ran out of halves and had to buy them from another processor, my dump? I have NO idea.

I marked up a bunch in this week's batch to see if I end up getting those back anytime soon. In the mean time I hope things pick back up!

Could be both. I hope's it's not the latter. This is happening in my area right now, like Bertmaster mentioned. The supplier I pick up at was loomis boxes and now I'm seeing Garda - which is where I dump and see my dumps. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but often.

I have a feeling you're luck will change soon.

Sorry to hear about the poor finds the past few weeks avago, I'm sure things will improve soon. Good luck next week!

Well, we were able to scrape up a little bit of silver last week. Still pretty ugly compared to our past averages but at least we weren't skunked out again!

We did 12 boxes again, six of which were skunks. The rest of the boxes yielded 1 x 90% and 17 x 40% including one Franklin for a total of 2.88 oz :dontknow:

We also did a huge road trip last Tuesday, hitting up 64 banks on the day. We scraped up $179.50 in loose, $210 CWR and $450 MWR. The loose and MWR were skunks and the CWR yielded just two 40%. Hard to believe SIXTY FOUR BANKS yield just 2 x 40%.

I just have to imagine there are other hunters in the area with a monopoly on these banks. I don't score very often, and I've NEVER scored on any of our road trips. So far it's been a waste of time, but you can't find it if you don't look I suppose!

Another very sad week of boxes for us. Twelve yielded just 3 x 40%. Hard to justify keeping it up when there are no signs of improvement!

That is rough. I just a got a slightly better trickle of silver this week, so I am hoping the nice weather will bring good finds as well. My only dream box came in May last year. So, I'm hoping for a repeat this year. Good luck to you.

Well last week came through nicely, one box leading the way. We did our 12 boxes and ended up with 4 x 90% and 44 x 40%, all Kennedys for a total of 7.95 oz :treasurechest::thumbsup:

Most of it came from one nice box that I opened up to find 5 enders. That box produced very nicely with a silver in every other roll, some with two per. 1 x 90% and 34 x 40% @ 5.39 oz.

Just a little trickle from the rest of the boxes, but at least we seem to be leaving skunksville for the time being (don't wanna jinx it!) Happy hunting!

Decent yield from our 12 boxes this week. It looks like Skunk City is officially in the rear view. We scored 5 x 90% and 19 x 40% including a Franklin and a 1936 Walker for a total of 4.62 ounces.

April is shaping up better than I expected. March was also our worst month of the year in 2015 so I hope the same holds true for 2016. One more week before I can post April totals. Happy hunting everyone!

Nice! Glad to hear things are improving for you.

March has historically been my best month, but this past March did not prove that to be true. I'm on fire this month though, so I'm thinking something changed somewhere along the line in the recent past to push my hot streak back by a month.

Searched 3 boxes today which gave up 5 40% and 1 1964, a box was missing an entire roll. Glad I still made out ahead. Nice haul!

Buff, missing an entire roll?? I've never had that happen, at least to my knowledge. But those results have been about average over the long haul for me too.

This week we did pretty well, did our regular 12 boxes. They yielded 6 x 90% and 22 x 40%, all Kennedys for a total of 5.42 oz. Most of the haul came from one box that contained 4 x 90% and 14 x 40%.

Also scraped up a few more 40% in some CWR, nothing spectacular. We could really use a killer box soon to re-energize us  Good luck this week everybody!

Yeah, missing an entire roll in a sealed box. I did have a box last summer that contained an extra roll though so I guess it averages out. Nice week!

Hey guys, congrats Avago on pushing through the dumps. Have had almost identical luck since we are all in the same region. Found my first Buffalo Boy 1 16 coins this week

Got two weeks of hunting in since my last update. They've both been good... two weeks ago was our best of the year so far.

Two weeks ago we searched 12 boxes, only 3 skunks in the batch. The rest yielded 6 x 90% and 56 x 40% including 3 x Franklins for a total of 10.45 oz!! Our best week of the year! Two best boxes had 21 x 40% and 1 x 90% and 11 x 40%

This past week was a bit less exciting. We only did ten boxes that yielded 23 x 40% for a total of 3.40 oz which is still a little better than average. Happy hunting everyone!

Had two good boxes this week in our batch of 10. Most of what I got this week was another CRH dump, loaded with marked coins. Hate that guy.

Anyway, our 10 boxes yielded 6 x 90% and 17 x 40% including a Franklin and a chewed up Walker for a total of 4.68 ounces. Just keep stacking!

We will be going bank hopping tomorrow hoping to scrape up some loose/CWR. Hunted around $290 CWR and $12 loose this week, all skunks.

On a side note, we passed $100,000 searched so far this year, on track to hit our 200 oz goal.

Congrats on surpassing the $100k searched mark and a couple decent boxes, good luck with your road trip tomorrow, be safe!

Haven't updated in a couple weeks again, geez it's been busy!

Two weeks ago we did our usual 12 boxes and had a nice yield! 7 x 90% and 17 x 40% including a Franklin, a 1936 Walker and our second 1970-D this year for a total of 5.05oz

IMAG1145_1.jpg

This past week we did 14 boxes, an extra two and ended up with almost the exact same amount of silver. 5 x 90% and 22 x 40% including 3 Franklins for a total of 5.06oz. 10/14 were skunks, yikes!

One of the boxes had three special coins: a 1957 Franklin proof, 1976-S matte silver and a 1982-D George Washington Commemorative! Amazing, clumped together in one box!

Hopefully the rest of the month keeps up! We surpassed 500 silvers and are closing in on 100oz, right on target for a 200oz year. Good luck everyone!
