It may be a grave. JACOB TRABAGAL or TABAGAL that died on the 11th in 1902. Just guessing. But for some reason an arrow points ahead. Looks like MX. ACOB%20Small1 neg.webp

Could A with a circle around it stand for August. Also could it have been a claim marker... Piles of rocks were used for that as well!

I was also going to say his claim marker. I think the month is under the damage but the O is odd because no month abbreviation ends in O..

Unless its NO for November and he didnt know how to spell or abbreviate.

Jacob waltz lost Dutchman mine!
If date 1862 , many camels then.
He was German so would not have called it the Dutchman.
Miners had a habit of naming mine after their pak animal.

The last confirmed wild camel sighting was in 1901. An Arabian camel could carry twice as much as a mule and the two hump could easily carry 3 times that of a mule! Could be a lot of treasure!
