You have a coat of arms that may help you ID your people and help answer some of your questions.

This is a similar shape halberd (early design)

...before changing into full size medieval halberd

Also, check some of the battle axes in the same design.

Here's the two riders on horse heading up there , the second guy on the horse is done in a style of where the shadow is gone and he is on the stone. Sorry but some photos i dont want to share completed with the general public. Anyone got a guess on the date of that style of helment?View attachment 1900715

All I see is that nice black shadow shape of a coyote. The various Natives call him The Trickster, you know. They like to trick people.

Thanks. Thats very interesting . The Fleur de lis symbol , i looked at many times, never saw it till you pointed it out. Then blam. Thanks.

I will see if i can find the J symbol that is to the left of the coat of arms photo and post it. I looked last night but couldn't find it. If not, maybe i will make a statement about maps that are out here. Not really sure if i should go there, some things to me, are better off left out there in the field.

I think its best for me, to just let the people that have a intrest in them, to go out in nature and view them for themselves. After all they are out there for free and unedited for everyone . Plus some may not like the same destination as i. But dang those guys sure did get around, from the Middle East to the North Baltic, and where great at their map making . I highly recommend you go out and see them. They are beautiful.

Well iam really not sure what else to post on this thread? I dont want to post anything to controversial on someone else thread, and have it end up in the todays laugh section. So i guess i better stick with the Spainish signs and symbols. Let me look and see what i got of those that i can post.

Great write up and pics, thanks for bringing us along. I will be close to that area next week exploring , would love to see any of those things in person.

Question # 1

Is the owl the symbol of treasure?

index.jpg

Well, it's on the money.
The answer is right on the money.

Question # 2

Is the Owl a Spanish symbol?

Well, none of the coins above is Spanish.
Though the Spaniards have used it, the symbol is much older: Rather ancient.

Coin of Yehud.jpg

"In the 6th century BCE, coins were used in the Land for the first time. While the initial currencies were Greek and Phoenician, over time, local coins were also minted. This tiny coin was issued by the provincial administration of Yehud. It bears the name of the province..
Translation: “Yehud” "

I dont know the era but that is one of the oldest styles of helm. Further I think that is two figures. One with helmet, looking left, and the other with a pointed leather cap who's eyes are closed and his beard is a pointer.
The picture quality that is allowed to be posted is rather poor so I hope I'm not cloud reading.
To the right is what looks like a bird of prey inspecting its egg. Really not certain of that. Clouds get in my eyes.
I think there is a number of stashes in the area.
Haven't been on site much in a long time and will have to check out your posts. They are great. Thank you!
