After 15th Episode of Season 12.... Still any believers...?

Now I do like how ya think there sir.... but given a choice Miss Mary Ann for me. But the program Gilligan being fake is just so hard to accept...!
I’m 66 now and leaning toward Mrs. Howell. She had $50k in a satchel. That would be around $370k in today’s economy. 😍

Well I'm almost 70 and I'm rolling with Mary Ann and Ginger now.... screw the money. And after a little research your right Gilligan's Island was fake. :BangHead:

I think tonight is the big night where the brothers tell the world... "We thank you all but we're moving on to help at Blind Frog Ranch now".

I wish people would put in the title what the thread was about. Had to read into page 2 to find the newspaper ads, in order to have any clue.
Bottom line I made it threw 6 episodes of the first season, and found it too boring.

Sir I'm sorry.... My bad. When I started it it was in the Oak Island forum section and I made an assumption all would know. Guess I was wrong... sorry.

It’s a HOLE show. I don’t watch it. Never have Never will. It puts me to sleep.

It’s better to be out looking for something interesting, than looking at two guys struggling to find something that was removed long ago.

Can anybody figure out why all the interest in the swamp and lot 5 area..? Why are they doing all this archeological work for something buried deep in the ground..? While it is interesting to see / watch any archeological work being done I can't figure out why all the work and for what..? What does it have to do with anything in reference to what the show is about.

Maybe it's just to fill in or take up time. But they sure seem to spend a lot of time doing a lot of other things and then discussing about what was found in reference to what or to what end...?

Just sit right back and we'll tell you a tale
Of a show that started hip
The story of a treasure hunt
That teases with a sunk swamp ship.

Rock was a mighty gold hunter
No slouch was Marty too
A plan was hatched to be the guide
"They cannot smell manure..
THEY CANNOT SMELL MANURE !!!"

The ratings started getting rough
The quirky show did cost
If not for the B.S. of the endless hype
The interest would be lost...
THE INTEREST WOULD BE LOST !!!

The show's ashore with the cast and crew
Just waiting to be canned
With Brother Rick.....
And Marty too.....
A coin shooter..
As a fan.....
A can machine, BUT THE CHEST !

ARE...HERE...ON...OAK... ISLAND !!!

I'm sure some of it is filler time, but it is atleast interesting to see what they find and may or may not have anything to do with the MP or depositor etc like they always refernce it too.. It's more of a history lesson.. Do you really want to watch the oscillator twist cans down in the ground for an hour and not much happening other then bringing up dirt and wood to sift thru..

I might get a camera and film my detecting efforts. Thousands of viewers watching rusty nails come from the ground. I should get the same viewers as the Laginas.

I got another question I bet there's no straight answer too. They state at the start of each showing that 6 have died and 1 more must die before the treasure is found. Who or why came up with this verbiage..?

While I don't think the show is a hoax I totally believe it is a huge con now. I think their digging where others before them looking for the same thing have dug. And there getting the same results... go figure. Almost poster child like for insanity. The island has a lot of 6" holes all over it and not one piece of silver, gold or anything of value. How many 6" holes have they dug now. Then a 7' hole into a natural cavern and why? They had no idea that a natural cavern was there after a 6" hole was dug...?

And the swamp... If they have a permit to look inside this small swamp then block it off and DRAIN THE DAMN THING properly. It seems everything like this is purposely dragged out and then exaggerated.

I like the archeological work being done but I TRULY WISH they didn't do the stupid ties to anything of value buried, treasure chests or saying things they have no idea about.

More than one has died during the last 12 seasons.

A production staff member and Craig Tester's Son.

Yet no treasure has yet popped from the ground.

It's an attempt to create some interest in the show as the ratings sink and folks watching are tired of seeing the same area that has been dug to great depths over the last 200 years proving nothing was ever there continue to be re-dug.

Well before the end of this seasons run they better come up with something big to keep folks interested or I believe this is it...? But I truly don't know more than anybody else.

Do some of ya think this is the last season or WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE WILL HAPPEN....? Anybody wanna venture a possible guess...? Will the brothers admit defeat on the seasons last show or just disappear....?

Let's add another point.

5. The original three and Onslow company kept digging until they were stopped. Why?

They SAW SOMETHING.

I agree...they probably saw that they were wasting their time chasing a phantom treasure.

What could they have possibly saw...?

Well at some point anybody would have to stop digging or be stopped.

Time and money is why most probably quit. Harsh winters, no electricity, have to boat all supplies over to island. Granted the Restalls lived on the island for a handful of years in those conditions in the '60s... I don't think any of the crews we've heard about ever made money to speak of from investors on the island. Could some of the finds have been to get more investors money to continue digging. Of course.. Was it enough to go home wealthy, I highly doubt it.. Until the Lagina,s but they invested a lot them selves to begin with as in 15 million dollars from big brother and Greg Tester and maybe others, so if they are making 1 million each per year those who invested have made some profit so far, the other family clan are the ones who are doing well as they invested nothing into it, just time and effort but have gotten paid for that of course.

It just amazes me the amount of money poured into finding something of value by all these people before the Lagina's and then them. But at least the brothers and cohorts have made money off of TV sponsorship. And nothing to show for it except meaningless items and theories. And still the digging continues...?
