Anyone ever noticed most of their significant finds were done by metal detecting

I’m 66 now and leaning toward Mrs. Howell. She had $50k in a satchel. That would be around $370k in today’s economy. 😍Now I do like how ya think there sir.... but given a choice Miss Mary Ann for me. But the program Gilligan being fake is just so hard to accept...!
Well I'm almost 70 and I'm rolling with Mary Ann and Ginger now.... screw the money. And after a little research your right Gilligan's Island was fake.I’m 66 now and leaning toward Mrs. Howell. She had $50k in a satchel. That would be around $370k in today’s economy. 😍
Sir I'm sorry.... My bad. When I started it it was in the Oak Island forum section and I made an assumption all would know. Guess I was wrong... sorry.I wish people would put in the title what the thread was about. Had to read into page 2 to find the newspaper ads, in order to have any clue.
Bottom line I made it threw 6 episodes of the first season, and found it too boring.
I'm sure some of it is filler time, but it is atleast interesting to see what they find and may or may not have anything to do with the MP or depositor etc like they always refernce it too.. It's more of a history lesson.. Do you really want to watch the oscillator twist cans down in the ground for an hour and not much happening other then bringing up dirt and wood to sift thru..Can anybody figure out why all the interest in the swamp and lot 5 area..? Why are they doing all this archeological work for something buried deep in the ground..? While it is interesting to see / watch any archeological work being done I can't figure out why all the work and for what..? What does it have to do with anything in reference to what the show is about.
Maybe it's just to fill in or take up time. But they sure seem to spend a lot of time doing a lot of other things and then discussing about what was found in reference to what or to what end...?
I got another question I bet there's no straight answer too. They state at the start of each showing that 6 have died and 1 more must die before the treasure is found. Who or why came up with this verbiage..?

Well before the end of this seasons run they better come up with something big to keep folks interested or I believe this is it...? But I truly don't know more than anybody else. It's an attempt to create some interest in the show as the ratings sink and folks watching are tired of seeing the same area that has been dug to great depths over the last 200 years proving nothing was ever there continue to be re-dug.
Let's add another point.
5. The original three and Onslow company kept digging until they were stopped. Why?
They SAW SOMETHING.
