I had a couple hours after the rain yesterday. Went to the old mill site where I've found 18 early coppers and a beautiful real. The signals are long gone and I'm basically just digging out nails trying to find some masked targets. The 1753 was only 3" down. Just covered by iron. The 1749 was maybe 8" down. I also found my first flint which is a cool first for me. Had big plans for some new areas today but it's pouring rain and I have to kayak in. So I'm glad I went out for a quick hunt yesterday

Now a question for the coin guys. I noticed this farthing from the same site is missing the crossbar on the second A. Is this pretty common?

I'm glad to hear other people's ratios were as bad as mine, or normal as Steve puts it. I thought it was bad luck;)

Nice copper throw the little coil on the T2 and watch the magic in iron..The key is using 0 disc and listen for little faint beeps in the iron 2+ MODE..

Yup it's a magical little coil. Hockey puck. Incredible how light that setup is

Wow those KGs are incredible. Congrats

Thanks Wheat. It's nice to dig these considering I've got at least a hundred that look terrible

Man great early coppers and group finds

I'd dig nails 22 shells anything that broke a threshold at that site lol

Keep it up man

Jer

Yeah I'm literally just digging up 2'x2' areas in the thick iron and picking through all of the iron to see what's being masked. It's tedious but very rewarding

coins are in awesome shape! amazing how much is masked.good job!

Those coppers are in crazy good condition -congratulations

Thanks DND. At this point I get way more excited about a nice early copper in killer condition. Yes the Spanish silver is awesome but it's nearly impossible to dig an early copper that's super nice. To have my nicest one be a potential mint error is even more exciting

Awesome condition coppers Abe. That farthing appears to have some value according to the link Jamie posted. Congrats!

Thank you pal. Yup this is prob my most valuable copper coin to date. That's not saying a whole lot since I have t found many worth a whole lot. One more for the secret hiding place where a couple of early silver coins hang out lol

Great find in regards to that rifle flint. Not an everyday find. Great eyeball find!
