1733 treasure fleet coin...on fri. 13th AGAIN !!

This is the second treasure fleet coin in the last couple weeks !! And it's the second time I've found a treasure coin on Friday the 13th !! What are the odds....that's just crazy luck. I found my avatar on friday Oct. 13th 2017, and now this one today friday sep 13 2019. It's a little one or two reale....I'll have to weigh it. It's a beautiful little heart shaped piece....looks to have some good details left too. Strong north east winds are making conditions ideal.....I've got to pound it before my conditions window closes. Guess lightning can strike twice !! Here it is as dug. One of the Cleanest ones I've ever dug.

@ BB... Congratulations! I’m sooo jealous.

Yesterday, I hunted a big yard next door to me for 2 hours in the rain thinking just maybe , if luck would have it, I could squeeze out another find. It’s been too hot for me to do much hunting this summer and I was itching to get some time in. So just when I was going to give up I got a decent signal... flipped the plug... saw roundness... I stared at it for a few seconds wondering how in the world I had missed it...I hit this property with 6 machines and at least 100 times..Proceeded to carefully pluck it out of the hole ....a button ( temporarily smiling with excitement) ... a beautiful vintage PLASTIC one. ( wtf I said under my breath). Scratched my head perplexed and rechecked the hole... a nail.

Today’s the 14th... If it doesn’t rain, I’ll be trying my luck somewhere else.

Thanks Jose the goon......amazing you said what you did. One of the first thoughts that crosses my mind when I find one is" poor little beauty hasn't seen the daylight in 286 years" . it almost feels like rescuing an animal or something living !! It feels good to rescue them from there watery resting place. If they could talk I think they would thank me !! I'm constantly rubbing the piece I ware and pleading with an imaginary Spaniard to lead me to another one. Today a neighbor walked up and enjoyed the find with me we talked for a half hour and that little coin already made a new friend for me !! Its alot of fun searching out the old Spaniards treasure. Not yet roger....looks great for getting some of these new wrecks on film. At least I can document them even if I'll never be able to dig them.

Don't know if that camera is sensitive enough to find (the heat signature) a single coin .But it sure would find a clump of them that were fused together ,over time.

You said the magic word roger "clump" I have a spot where my neighbor found a clump of 30+ cobbs !! Looking for bottles walking the shoreline he found the clump in a tide pool in the rocks. I've been trying to get there since the hurricane but conditions have not been right for the 30 mile one way boat ride. Maybe next week I can try the clump spot !!

I have friends on Pine Island on the South West Florida coast and like to spend time there. Rented a place for a few months over the winter there last year. Haven't come across any affordable vacation rentals in the Keys. I have been there quite a few times, love it! You're livin the life!

Crusty there's a lot of great hunting in the pine island area.....I bet there's cobbs there too !! Amazing pirate stories from that area.
