XP DEUSE

I think they are too expensive but Ill eventually get one anyway

I also have been looking at those It comes down to no one can really say what is the best detector ?Ask yourself what you want coins relics water hunting easy to use heavy lite make a list than look for the detecter that is best for what you want just my Thought.

anyone got any pointers or advise on the xp deuse.thinking of getting one.all reviews have been good.what do you guys think,thanks:hello2:

The XP Deus is an excellent machine, and if you're willing to put the work into learning it you will be very impressed. Before I got mine, I heard stories of many people buying, getting frustrated, and getting rid of it before learning it. Stick with a factory program like Deus Fast (which in itself is a wonderful program) for a while before you start changing settings.

It's so light, and the recovery speed is just ridiculous. It's top notch in iron, and it goes deep. Those four traits make it a beast of a detector.

thanks everyone, will be getting the deuse and update you on my experiences.

I would not get another machine unless XP bring out a higher model. For me they focused on the most important factors - weight & performance. Its not the deepest on the market but deep enough for me with the 11" coil on its great. Any deeper machines like the CTX3030 would put me back in hospital within a year, as I detect 500hours/year.

Cru hit the nail on the head, the CTX is definitely a deeper machine in my experience and more stable in mineralized conditions (and waterproof). The Deus is definitely my iron patch machine when target separation is the main objective. Weight advantage definitely goes to the Deus however a 15$ harness makes the CTX an all day machine

I'm here to tell you, without a shadow of a doubt the deus is deeper then the CTX! I have owned them both, and know how to use them. Time and time again the deus came out with the deeper targets.
You just have to set it up right.

Will definitely spend so time over in England Jon.

I read many comparison reviews between the Deus vs the CTX, and the Deus always got rated as the deeper machine.

That is too broad of a statement-- Many factors affect depth. For example the Minelab is deeper in CA highly mineralized sites. I know as I have both as well and the CTX handles the ground much better and get added depth. Also IDs better at depth.

So maybe in your case the Deus is deeper--but in mine the CTX is deeper. But you can't beat the Deus on separation in the iron! The CTX holds it's own but the Deus is fast!!

That's why I have both!! :)

I don't agree with you....sorry. If we stick to depth, CTX is deeper on field especially on small silver targets and gold. Now well mastered the Des will cover 2x more terrain then the CTX :notworthy: no doubt about it. I do hunt regulary with XP Metal -Deus insiders and both machines are doing well....Deus is a coin shooter machine, CTX a relic hunter for "stronger guys".

Both machines will give you a different pleasure... on land I prefer the Deus, so much easier to carry and to handle.

I've never owned a CTX, so have to bow out to the users. From what I read I thought it slightly deeper, now reading this debate, we may be better calling it a tie.

Now Frog,
I respect you very much. But one think is the CTX is not a good relic machine. It is a great coin machine. With ID.
And very stable. But not good in iron, or not as good as Deus.

This is true true RON, there not a better IDing machine on the market then the CTX. But, with deep targets I have experienced the CTX will not make a sound or gives a iron grunt in a wide open screen and the Deus with give me the right sound and no VDI.
As far as mineralized soil, your right! For me to quite down the deus I do not get the depth I normally would get.

Hello Scott. I just got a new deus with the 11 inch coil ,and I'll admit to a learning curve I've been using it everyday for
About two weeks I am learning the settings it's taking me some time , coming from the teknetics gamma 6000
With digital display with the deus I'm learning tones and sound I am getting it ! Pulling coins and coin like pieces
Listen to the guys online and ask the deus guys for tips on settings You will get used to it Best of luck HH
