The stones are still the answer...

I have said it many times that the stones with the carvings are the answer to this mystery. No matter if it is the stones found on Oak Island or the Overton stone or the Norumbega stone found on the second peninsula. The Shugborough monument in Staffordshire England. Look to the Sheppard's of Arcadia painting, the Sheppards are not just pointing to the words but more to the words carved in stone. Dan Blankenship found the last stone, it was the "G" stone. Bulldozing he unearthed it but they don't know exactly where. I would bet that it was on the road that goes to Smith's Cove. And probably just on the north side of the Cave-In pit.

The biggest problem would seem to be caused by all the attempts over the years having pretty much destroying the original site to the point that its become a whack-a-mole game as more holes get dug while continually destroying any of the original site.

I agree having the stone would definitely help but i seriously doubt it will ever be found.

I honestly belief the biggest problem is that no-matter who is looking most are basing their ideas off the original source material and its various interpretations from the time the boys supposedly found the depression and started to dig. Whether its maps or pieces of stories or tales they pretty all are downstream from the original story.

What needs to happen is for people to back further into history to find who and when were in the area before any of the europeans started in that area going back earlier then the Acadians in the very early 1600's and next wave coming in from the mid 1700's.

Put down all the stupid unprovable stories and ideas that are based in thinking based on after the original story got started. I mean after all at the time the boys found the depression there were enough people in the mahone bay area that i doubt anyone from that time could have built any of the stuff on Oak island without others seeing or noticing traffic in the bay.

The Lagina's have been finding archeological remants all the time that proof humans have been there long before the time period starting with the story. People like the Vikings and even older such as the Mayan's coming for palygorskite which mayan researchers seem to think mexico-central america may not have had enough sources to make all the mayan-blue that the mayan's used.

The local Mi"kmaq and other Indigenous peoples all have stories of strangers through out their histories. Some seem to want to link some indigenous art and symbols to things like the Templars which could very well be, but i am sure there are all kinds of other ideas as well. One thing is almost certain though and that is whatever, whoever was there was done before the start of the legend of oak island and it would seem to me that chasing around information true or not true based on information created after the story started is a waste of time no matter what one believes actually went on on Oak Island.

History Channel needs to kill the reality show as besides making a ton of money for the Lagina Clan all its really doing now is sowing the seeds of non-belief besides making them all look pretty damn dumb as each show has a large part of regurditated crap from earlier shows and very little new material.

Gilbert Hedden started what I considered to be a founded theory, even though he based it on a "Map" from a book. Captain Kidd and his skeleton Island was a fiction based book written by Harold Wilkins. Wilkins admitted he had made up the map for his book but also admitted to researching papers in the British Museum. The map that he made up was based on a actual drawing that he had seen in the museum. The cost to have a researcher go through what is now in the British Library is more then what I can afford. to give to a better perspective, the "Boat Stone" found in Westford Massachusetts, has a simple carving of a ship, an arrow and an inscription 184. This stone was unearthed while putting in a road. The numbers "184" is what intrigued me, Wilkins map had numbers, 7 BY 8 BY 4 but it also had measurements and directions. Hedden never knew about this stone because it wasn't discovered yet. But Hedden did have the island surveyed, and it is called the Roper survey. They had found the survey stones and referenced the money pit and cave in pit, the stone triangle. All of this surveyed before the extreme excavations. The oddity is they are the same as the Wilkins map.

But wait…..what about:

3x9x16
1x14x63
2x2x73

These #’s could hold the secret as well.
Really, was that called for? If you want to make an argument against what I have said, then do so but to just come out and be obnoxious, that's uncalled for. I do not expect you to understand because you all ready have it in your head that it is not real, but please have a little decorum here.

Let us also not forget how PI fits into the captain Kidd/templar/bacon/aztec/black beard/ everything else connection.

3.14~ has to be a mysterious clue to unload king he greatest archeological treasure in the history of mankind.

Most thought it was the 90 foot stone which in the end got used as a stone in a basement wall.

And again no decorum just obnoxiousness...fine, so you admit the 90' stone exist...so does the Boat stone, the Overton stone, the Norumbega Vinland stone, the G stone and the survey stones documented in the Roper survey. The coconut husk fibers were found in Smiths cove. But to one such as yourself all of these can be explained by rogue artist that no one can remember, mass recolonization for coconut brought up by the tides and currents but yet found no where else. As for PI which is 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197, hey if your going to be obnoxious at least be exact, I have no clue where you got that one but hey if you think it enhances your point, go for it...

Yes, the FAKE 90 foot stone did exist.

Fake as are all other claims on the island.
One can assume the you subscribe to the theory of Occam's Razor...The problem is to use this there must be sound scientific testing to prove it. You're relying on lack of evidence to justify your theory. You say that the Island has been fully excavated...Not even close, at best you have one person by the name of Dunfield, who did a larger excavation with no results. Pretty much everyone had the same idea of getting to the bottom of the Money Pit...There was one person who actually started off on Oak Island with a different outlook and questioned where over 27 cubic yards of earth just vanished to in 1878. Now some say it was do to the flood tunnel, you know the one that you say didn't exist. but that can't be because when Blair excavated there was no water at 52 feet deep. He reported that there was timbers pulled up from that depth. He also made not that the walls at the bottom were cut in as if it was bigger. Cave in maybe but he was able to see the pick marks higher up in the cave in pit. Not to mention, seeing a recess in the wall 52 feet down in a black hole would tell me that someone went down in it. Now Blair not satisfied with what he found went back to core drilling and pushed through the bottom and guess what he hit, water. So he and the Truro group moved to the money pit to continue on their quest.

Now who's being closed minded.
Most thought it was the 90 foot stone which in the end got used as a stone in a basement wall.

Prove It. Unless you know something some of others don't you have no way of knowing that for sure.

Ya i see Doug and his minions trying to track down all the leads to as where the stone went, even to the point of going through that basement which still does NOT prove what you said.

Even the laginas (current oak island scam artists) “tracked” the fake 90 foot stone and found it used in a basement wall.

Let’s see, the key to unlocking the greatest treasure in history is discarded after investors said hogwash after its discovery, used as an anvil, then picked up from a pile and used in a wall.

Yes, the clues are adding up as ZERO evidence (both historical and physical) has EVER been found that provides ANY PROOF that a money pit, log platforms, and flood trap tunnels have ever existed.

Just tall tales made up for the masses in hopes of duping some out of their money.

If your referring to the Creighton and Marshalls book store and Bowden stone stories I don't recall them saying conclusively that it was the missing 90 foot stone... I know they were speculating that the no longer viewable symbols were missing because of the stone being used to beat and cut leather at one point in time but all the Bobsee Twins ever said was that it "could be" the stone and then in typical show fashion they moved off into another direction.

Doug Crowell whos seems to work or be on loan from CGS/NSCC I am sure would have published something if it was conclusively true...

Look I get you don't believe which is fine with me, but you seem to want to crap on posts that others make trying to entertain a discussion on something.

If you choose to not believe then don't but at least have the sense to be correct with your statements while trying to poke fun at others that maybe have a different view.

Its not nice to be disrespect of others that you don't know which seems to be a real problem these days with a lot of forums.

There seems to be some "Most likely" and "Unlikely at best" comments in that list. Sounds more like someone's opinion then true facts...

Your not good at this are you, what would make you think that the 90' stone would be nothing more the a enticer? What happen when they dug past the stone? Water! Water that they can't stop. Man's greed, they relied on man's greed to open that flood tunnel. Look at the Shugsbough monument, a positive depiction of the Shepherds of Arcadia by Poussin. What are the shepherds pointing to? The "Stone Carving". The words "Et in arcadia ego", translated " "Even in Arcadia, there am I" which has been described as poor latin. There has been a theory that the words are a anagram, Tego arcana Dei, meaning "Begone, I keep God's secrets!" I had a computer translator do it and I got "I cover the secrets of God". It was a explorer by the name of Giovanni da Verrazzano who first called the eastern coast of North American "Arcadia", in 1524. commissioned by the king of France, King Francis I, to explore the new world and look for a new trade route to far East. Some believe that he was sent to look for signs of the Knights templars that went missing in 1306.
