Two Florida Brothers Latest Victims of Black on White Murder

Another brutal attack ignored by the national media—

Matthew Bohannon, 19 (L) and his brother Andrew Bohannon, 24 (R) were shot and killed outside a Golden Corral Sunday night. (FCN)

The 19 and 24 year-old brothers were shot to death this weekend in a Jacksonville parking lot.
They had a “Free Zimmerman” bumper sticker on their truck.

After two brothers were shot to death in the parking lot of a Jacksonville Golden Corral, some citizens are accusing the city’s sheriff’s department of covering up a hate crime.

“At around 8:45pm Sunday night, 24-year-old Andrew Austin Bohannon and 19-year-old Matthew Ryan Bohannon were sitting in their truck in a Golden Corral parking lot when they were approached by another car with multiple occupants inside,” according to The Inquisitr

“After ‘some type of conversation’ between the two parties, multiple shots were fired at the Bohannons. One was killed instantly, and the other was pronounced dead shortly after at a local hospital.”

While the motive of the doubling killing is still unknown, rumors spread amongst the population of Jacksonville that it was related to the “Free Zimmerman” bumper sticker on the Bohannon’s truck, referring to George Zimmerman.

On July 13, Zimmerman was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin.


Police arrested Avery Wood (pictured) and three others in the shooting death of the two brothers.

More… JSO says the report about the bumper sticker is not true. It was just your typical black on whitey bloody murder.

I wanted to read the ORIGINAL news report rather than the highly biased piece of news you posted in the first article above.

Read the 2 news articles. They don't even appear to be the same story.

According to your 2nd linked article: This was a drug deal turned into a robbery turned into a double murder.

I am trying to determine the connection between a drug deal/murder and the Zimmerman case. Linking this to Obama/Holder is even more of a stretch.

Legitimate connection is 2 kids murdered and nothing said by holder or admin about it or their civil rights, administration was all over T.Martin case by this time span, but then again there is no political road to exploit here and the murderers were not white or Hispanic mistaken as white by adminstration...

[h=2]Obama enters Martin debate with personal remarks, questions 'stand-your-ground'[/h] President Obama publicly and personally addressed the Trayvon Martin case for the first time since George Zimmerman was acquitted nearly a week ago, relating his own experiences to the "pain" the black community is feeling and going on to question so-called "stand-your-ground" laws.

The president delivered extensive remarks during a surprise appearance in the White House briefing room. He suggested race may have played a strong role in the case, saying that if a "white male teen" were involved, "both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different."

He went far beyond his remarks a year ago in which he stirred controversy by saying if he had a son, he'd look like Martin.

"Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago," Obama said.

The laws allow people to use lethal force if they feel threatened -- even if they might have the option of retreating.

"If we're sending a message as a society ... that someone who is armed potentially has the right to use those firearms even if there's a way for them to exit from a situation, is that really going to be contributing to the kind of peace and security and order that we'd like to see?" Obama said.

The president acknowledged that the law was not part of the Zimmerman defense, but suggested the laws might still "encourage" violence. In a provocative statement, the president also questioned whether Martin, if he had a gun, could have been "justified in shooting Mr. Zimmerman because he felt threatened."

The NRA has defended the stand-your-ground laws, saying they are vital to self-defense.

George Zimmerman's brother Robert Zimmerman responded to Obama's comments in an interview with Fox News, saying a lot of people wanted to hear from the president and "I'm glad he spoke out today."

He said he agrees that there should be "teachable moments." At the same time, he voiced concern that leaders may be responding to "pressure" as the Justice Department probes his brother to see if federal civil rights charges should be brought.

Obama appeared to manage expectations on that front during his remarks on Friday. He said he understands that protests may have to "work (their) way through," but said these cases are traditionally handled by state and local authorities.

He said Holder is reviewing, but that people should have "clear expectations."

Obama reiterated that the jury -- at the state level -- has spoken.

He also offered personal details that harkened back to the speech he gave on race as a candidate in 2008. Obama said: "It's important to recognize that the African American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences, and a history that doesn't go away."

Obama said there are "very few" black men who haven't been followed while shopping at a department store -- "that includes me."

"I don't want to exaggerate this, but those sets of experiences inform how the African American community interprets what happened one night in Florida," Obama said.

The comments from the president -- particularly comments this extensive -- were not expected. It's unclear whether they will serve to fuel the debate or potentially ease tensions.

The Justice Department, it seems, is not dropping the issue any time soon.

Shortly before Obama spoke, members of the Congressional Black Caucus huddled in the Capitol with Justice Department officials, urging them to produce a study on the Martin case and make recommendations to avoid similar situations.

Fox News has learned that one of the CBC members, Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Fla., has Travyon Martin's brother -- Jahvaris Fulton -- interning in her Miami office. He was a witness at the trial.

From what the defense presented, true or not, was that Zimmerman did NOT have the option to "exit from the situation". Apparently Obama felt mentioning it in his racist speech would plant seeds in the minds of his sheep that Zimmerman didn't have to shoot the thug. As I've tried to point out earlier, the stereotyping of certain groups is substantiated by crime statistics. I'll not ignore the facts of life just to pretend I'm "politically correct". As an elderly white man and a gun owner I can say this without being a racist that the shooting of Martin could have been prevented in many ways. Yes, Martin possibly could have jumped Zimmerman. Without a gun it might have resulted into a fist fight and not a death. I have been in fights before and looked worse than Zimmerman. Once the fight was over no matter who won we just swallowed our pride and departed. Maybe Obama should not have commented on the incident? I tried to look at this incident both ways. If Martin would have been my son I would be hunting down the killer. How about you?

No, I taught my kids not to assault other people and to respect them. I also taught them even though you are not to attack or assault anyone, you are entitled to defend yourself.

If I had been on the ground with someone on top of me pounding my head into the concrete I would have pulled my pistol as well... and it would not had mattered what race he was.
