The Big Book of Dowsing Excuses (LRL Edition) has every eventuality covered.

I looked real hard for that book…The only thing I found was a chapter in the Skeptics dictionary…It is amazing how many excuses are in that book….Art

The Big Book of Dowsing Excuses has been around for decades, if not centuries. There have been many editions since.

Modern editions, including the LRL edition, include excuses involving Wifi & powerline interference as yet more reasons for failure to locate targets not planted by the 'finder'.
These also include a supplement on 'photoshopping' pictures to post on web forums and such. I wouldn't be surprised to find future revisions made into a 2 book set, due to weight and handling.


You'll find this book in the Religion section of larger book stores.

I'm sure that Carl would let you verify targets, before and after the test, in the presence of a neutral third party or group.

I recently read some posts where a prominent LRL proponent says that his LRL would detect both old underground deposits, bullion, or coins, and newly buried coins and even coins laying on top of the ground.

Now you are going back to the previous theory, that it's only old stuff that can be located. What's up with that?

But Carl says he has that kind of target, too. So, don't worry, you can still do the test!

I'm thinking to give a chance. If you like to meet with me to make a test, I will do it but you have to pay me in advance (direct deposit) $10K plus expense, find or not find, works the LRL or not. I' don't like to waste your time, neither mine. If you proof the LRL is "BS", is not my problem, I will keep using MFD's and finding gold with it anyway.

So, DO YOU ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE?

Humm...this is a very well thought challenge and more than fair.
He will document and report his usual BS about LRLs as he wishes. But one difference. He will pay to use your time.
This is what I would call a 'remunerated placebo effect test for skeptics'.

I would also propose that if you get to locate his gold bar despite all his possible cheatings, you keep it.

I ain't Archie, Carl, but here's my suggestion: a video of Klondike doing a "dealer trick" and botching it thereby revealing the secret of success. That's not the "proof" that Archie wants (he doesn't want proof, what good is proof to him?) but it would be an entertaining step in the right direction.

If Archie has a better suggestion, let 'er rip.

He means aluminum.
If you put aluminum pieces of round shape, same size and also degraded to some extent under 49 of them, chances are the MD will not be able to acurately tell which one is the gold.
If it's a tone type MD, it will require an extremely experienced user with a great 'ear' and despite of that, again chances are he will get fooled also.

Evidently you and Art have never run a metal detector over a group of gold coins. The tone is worlds apart from round aluminum pieces.

I think the confusion stems from tone similarities between a GOLD RING and a PULLTAB.....not GOLD COINS
