WHO WANTS TO DIVE FOR TREASURE

always good to see Seahunters' report from Jupiter. Give the hell guys! b

Hi WWW
We try to dive as often as the weather allows. We are about 75 miles north of Miami. We tried again this morning but it was too rough. We will try again tomorrow. Ended up with three coins yesterday. Will post pictures soon.

Hi Ben
Always good to hear from you.

Hi RioBravo
Looking forward to seeing you on site again. You can bring your mag with you if you want. (hint, hint)

We made it out today and the weather was great. Water cleared up real nice by the afternoon and we blew several holes. We were only able to find two coins, but we did manage to locate the cannon we have been looking for. Maybe Joe will bring the RioBravo down and help us pull the cannon out for preservation. Here are a couple pictures.

well done crew of the Seahunter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Excellent news Scott, it's been an exciting year for you guys! It's been a little rough up our way too, but I'm glad to see you guys are getting out. We should be done magging in a few days, so if we have too we'll tie Joe up on the mag boat and steal the Bravo to come raise the cannon. :D Nice find!!!

Jas

Exellent find Scott,
You guys are doing well considering the weather and waves, dont find it all before I finally get to dive with you, I should be back up in a week or so to do a bid in Delray, if so I'll call you.........John

Heres a good question that i already know what the anser is,lets see if anyone here knows it too.

If you have a cannon that weighs 3000lbs.what does it weigh underwater?

It will weigh 3000# minus the weight of the water it is displacing.

brad,
not the right anser,whos next?

I thought Brad's answer was accurate, too. Saltwater displaces about 64 lbs per cubic foot, and the total displaced is normally deducted from the normal "above water" weight. Whatcha got, Fisheye?

you guys are going to make me kill the few brain cells I got left ???
Put a 1000lbs air bag on each end......if it doesnt come up put another 2 ;D

The weight of an object is the same, whether it is in air or water.

However, if you move an object from sea level to a much higher elevation, it does in fact weigh just a little less, because you have moved it further away from earth's center of gravity.
